Orrrr I can fail to find the time to read this year and squeek by the skin of my teeth with a simple challenge.

I think it's best read right after watching an episode of Parks and Recreation or one of her SNL sketches so that you can keep her voice in your head. (I feel like Amy's humor is often displayed physically and/or tonally and one might not pick up some of the humor in the book if you're not hearing her talking to you).
I do think that I liked Bossypants a bit better (Tina Fey) but Yes Please was still a good read.

That's so funny! I second that about Yes Please. Sometimes I was put off by her tone and then I would remember that it was her humor. I didn't really find it funny, but I enjoyed the read and found parts very inspiring since I'm trying to get into the entertainment business. She was very real, which is all I can ever ask of anyone :)

(Granted, these are both "middle grade" but could count as your "non-YA". I read and enjoyed them both. Fantasy - one is more fairytale-esque and a bit dark, the other is an interesting fantasy with a plucky heroine).Other possibilities for F that I haven't read (but are on my To Read list and have pretty good ratings):

I think that Patricia McCormick mostly counts as YA (I usually judge book by book, instead of saying that everything an author writes can fit in one particular mode).
In her case, though, every book I looked up seemed to be in the "Teen" section in the Chicago Public Library system - and that's my default rating system.
So - short answer: Yes!
