A dystopia (from the Greek δυσ- and τόπος, alternatively, cacotopia, or anti-utopia) is a community or society that is in some important way undesirable or frightening. It is literally translated as "not-good place", an antonym of utopia. Such societies appear in many artistic works, particularly in stories set in a future. Dystopias are often characterized by dehumanization, totalitarian governments, environmental disaster, or other characteristics associated with a cataclysmic decline in society.

The Hunger Games is a very well known example of a dystopian book Han.

Han if you go to page one of this thread it will give you links to find Aussie authors as well as suggestions for different genres.
I always check what other people are listing too, for ideas or alternate reads, or just for inspiration :)
Ps, same applies if you go to the first page of any of the challenges ;)

The book blurb mentions Melbourne in it, so probably.. I'll see if I can find some more information:)
