Where do you find the time to read so much?! I wish I could read half as much as you do. All I have time for is about half an hour before bed each day, and most days I don't even make that because I'm buggered by the time I go to bed....

Jen, I really enjoyed The Husband's Secret too. My mind got very engaged with the moral dilemmas that several of the characters faced, in particular Cecilia. She's one out of the box, maddening and appealing in equal parts!

Funnily enough, for a graphic novel, I found I was intrigued by the text Brenda, that lovely poetic feel to it. But I did like a lot of the angel images too.

I think that you've identified one of the great pleasures of graphic novels Brenda. Reading a large format hardback with great illustrations on classy paper - it is a sensual experience.

I told my hubby I loved the smell of it..he looked at me like I was nuts! Then I let him have a whiff and he understood :) Different to any other book smell Mary:)

His next isn't about Don, Belinda:) I met him at this one's launch and he's putting Don to one side for awhile....so I have no idea what his next will be about!

#9 Adventure - Don't Tell Mum I Work on the Rigs, She Thinks I'm a Piano Player in a Whorehouse
This was a great read and very funny. I'd recommend it to everyone.

My choice for ADVENTURE The Pirate Queen: The Story of Grace O'Malley, Irish Pirate I gave 3.5 ★ and found it to be an interesting interpretation of the incredible Grace O'Malley's life. Alan Gold freely admits to weaving an imaginative story around the basic facts of her life and uses some colourful language to do so...but hey, she's a Pirate! That may not appeal to some readers but it would be a shame if this remarkable woman in history is forgotten.
