Christina T (crysteena73) | 558 comments @Jonetta...I'm loving Under Currents. The beginning is heart wrenching. I adore Darby and her energy. I'm not quite half way through so her background is still a bit of mystery.

I'm only 25% into Chinatown. Once again I'm stunned by the time period and how much prejudice against specific cultures there was. Considering everyone within the book is a descendant of a immigrant the hatred just confounds me. It's a testament to Thompson's writing for me to have a visceral reaction to a cozy mystery. Most cozies tend to be just fluff.

You know, I’ve never thought of Gaslight Mystery as a cozy mystery, primarily because it’s gritty and Frank is a police detective.
