That's a good point. There are a few I'd like in paperback too.

That's a fantastic idea! I have such limited storage for real books that I tend to only buy books if I can't get them on kindle or if they are cheaper as a real book second hand. I have some books I've won in competitions too, I can always squeeze them in somewhere :)
I finished the other book I started on Friday, not on the kindle, Darcy and Elizabeth: A Most Unlikely Couple. I really like this author. This is the second book I have read by her. It is a P & P variation with lots of added characters and action. I liked it very much.
Ceri wrote: "I won a copy of this that I haven't got to yet, glad to hear you enjoyed it."Congrats! What a great prize. It reminds me of a gothic novel with villians, angst, and drama. So much fun to read.
I'm so glad to hear it! I haven't read it yet but I got it as a free ebook. Her new book will start to be posted in September and I love the excerpt online already.
I read Scent of Desire: A Pride and Prejudice Expansion. This book is well written. If you are looking for a P & P continuation that is sweet, you may like Scent of Desire. There was not enough of a storyline for me. It wasn't bad but it did not hold my interest.
Thanks! Glad you liked it. I prefer LONG stories too, but I also enjoy throwing a nice, short read in between some longer ones.
This week I read: Mr. Darcy to the RescueI loved this book. It is such a super cute and clever storyline. I would recommend it highly. My one complaint is that the author needs to write more books faster. ;)I started Being Mrs Darcy and love, love, love it so far. They just got to Pemberley. Thank you for sending it to me.
I agree with all your points!! I am almost done and I can't describe with words have much I loved it. Let's talk about it when you're done!
I recently heard about Mr. Darcy to the Rescue and I thought it sounded good. Glad it was, Talia!
Sophia wrote: "I recently heard about Mr. Darcy to the Rescue and I thought it sounded good. Glad it was, Talia!"Loved it! I didn't want it to end.
Being Mrs Darcy is amazing. Am reading it at the moment and I just can't wait to finish it. It's so beautifully written. Good you'll love it too.
I have finished Being Mrs Darcy. This book is terrific. It is exactly what a story about an arrogant Mr Darcy and trying to make-it-work Elizabeth Bennett should be. I agree that it seems a bit long but I think that is because the author wrote this as a series of posts. Because of that, she had to repeat things to remind readers what went on before. I am sure that if I read this in the originally intended way that it wouldn't have felt as dragged out. I absolutely loved the book anyway and would recommend it.
I tried to find this book on Amazon and it was not there. From which site did you buy it? I think I read it online but would like to read it again.
Sheila wrote: "I tried to find this book on Amazon and it was not there. From which site did you buy it? I think I read it online but would like to read it again."Send me your email address or kindle address and I can mail it to you as a .docx.
It's unpublished Sheila, was posted on A Happy Assembly, so you could read it online, but it's nicer to read it on kindle as a word file.
I do believe I read it on line but Goodreads shows that you can purchase it. I just wanted to buy it for future re-reads...and to give the author some profit for her efforts.

odara7rox(at)rcn(dot)com BUT wait as Claudine was going to send me a copy to then send to my kindle.
If you can buy it then I would as I've read this story a few times and like you, I'd love to show this author some appreciation and support.

Glad you got it.
Okay, so I've been on a JA hiatus kinda sort of lately, have been reading JA non-stop for about 7-8 yrs. But I got back on my JA Phaeton and plunged in head first. So right now in total, since the beginning, I've read 56 books. For the month of August, I've read:1. Denial of Conscience 5 star
2. The Devil in Darcy 3 star
3. Claimed by Darcy 4 star
4. Poor Mr Darcy 5 star
5. Elizabeth: Secret Heiress 5 star
6. One Love - Two Hearts - Three Stories 5 star
7. Love and Laughter 5 star
8. Oxford Cottage 5 star
9. Darcy and Elizabeth - Lost in Love 5 star
10. The Best of Relations 5 star
11. Dearest Friends 5 star
12. Her Unforgetable Laugh 5 star
13. A London Liaison 4 star
14. One Netherfield Night 4 star
15. A Pemberley Passion 4 star
I still have 11 days left in August to get more in!!!
Always glad to be reading JA, Claudine!!!! Some of the stories just started sounding similar and I just got caught up in Romance stories. But those are running similar now!! Lol!! JAFF is still my first love!!!
Sigh... JAFF does melt my heart! Love to connect with other readers and I always enjoy your JAFF reviews!
Thanks Claudine, I feel that I am getting better at writing my reviews. I mean for those books that are of a good size, and that I love I try to write something to allow others to get a decent idea of what the book is about without revealing too much to spoil it. Though for books that don't really inspire me too much, I do still struggle with writing reviews.
I feel that as well when I read a less than desirable story. I read two this week that I couldn't even finish... Ugh!! That hasn't happened in a while!
I copied your list since you posted stars beside them. I have read some and I do post reviews of all I read. Just finished Mr. Darcy to the Rescue...a lot of people posted positive reviews on that and am now reading Mr. Darcy Unmasked.
Now that's a serious reading pile, Erika! I'm so impressed. And the cool part is that they all seemed to be good reading for you.
I have to alternate my reading to keep it fresh, too.

I read Fitzwilliam Darcy An Honourable Man today. I love this author's gothic romances. I think I have read them all now. Hoping she has another just around the corner. Love Richard and Darcy in this one. This story is out there but it is in the tradition of true gothic writing. Terrific!
I read The Storm.Imperious Darcy uses deception to trick Lizzy into marrying him. Do I need to write any more?
I haven't posted in forever! I am now 44/51. I wrote up small reviews for most of the books if anybody is interested. Definitely Not Mr Darcy: 4 Stars
Henry Tilney's Diary: 4.5 Stars
Matter of Trust: 3.5 Stars
Mr Darcy's Rival: 4.5 Stars
Mister Darcy's Dogs: 3.5 Stars
Captain Wentworth's Diary: 4.5 Stars
Ardently: 5 Stars
Sun-Kissed: 4.5 Stars
A Will of Iron: 4 Stars
Pride and Proposals: 4.5 Stars
I am currently reading Mary Bennet and the Bloomsbury Coven. Up next are: A Constant Love, A Royal Disposition, and A Sense of Obligation.
I finished two books today, The Best Part of Love and Elizabeth Bennet's Deception: A Pride and Prejudice Vagary. I absolutely loved The Best Part of Love and wish it was in paperback so I could add it to my repeat reading bookshelf. It was terrific. Although I have read other books by Regina Jeffers, EB's Deception was not a fave. I found Darcy and Elizabeth to be outlandish, rude, and cruel to each other. Elizabeth was kinder and more understanding of Wickham than Darcy and Darcy seemed not to consider Elizabeth's reasons for rebuking him at all. The book also suffered from poor editing which I was shocked to see. I will give this author another try in hopes that this was a one time thing.
I'm so glad you love The Best Part of Love. I'm so grateful to Monica for sharing it with me!! One of my best JAFF reads ever!!!

Hi ladies , I saw your comment regarding "the Best Part of Love", but wasn't able to pull up any information about it or the author. Could you direct me in the right direction? Thank you
Hi Dung, that story is unpublished, it is posted on the A Happy Assembly web page. I'm not sure if it's posted elsewhere too. The author is called Amy, I think, but her user name is Alex9903. She has some fabulous stories, it's a shame some of them haven't been published so they could get a wider audience.
