Right, some places time moves very fast and others very slowly. And from what I remember, it isn't always consistent.
Hazelwileyed your theory about Ryodan hurting and there for hurting Dani is spot on for me!! There is a scene in iced where Ryodan tells Dani that 'how she treats him is how he will treat her' and if you look at most of there interactions it is what happens.KimeyDiann I agree if Dani is just older and we don't get to see her grow up ,it is going to be very silly. It did seem sort of sinister. But I thought Rainey was heading it up so I wasn't sure. Rainey is the opposite of sinister in my mind. Ooh, what if she has a gripper in her?
Ouch. The words against Barrons hurts me. In my book Ryodan will never be as astounding as Barrons. He does not have the 'thing' Barrons has, whatever that indescribable 'thing' is, that made me fall in love and discard all other book loves. I like Ryodan, he has potential to be a great hero. But at the moment, he's below Barrons and even under Christian and Dancer for me. I've seen their care and only his moody and mysterious possessiveness. Of course he's still my chosen hero to my Dani, he just has a lot to prove before I'm for him.
I loves me some Barrons too, he's my all time top Alpha and male lead (except Eric Northman). Did anyone notice we never got a clear description of what Ryodan looks like? I have a clear picture of Barrons in my head since Mac describes him a couple of times. Ryodan has pale silvery hair, very light eyes, an scars, right?

I love that you love Barrons. He was the reason I kept going with the series but Ryodan caught me. Sorry but I can't let go :) I'm glad you think he is suitable for Dani at least.
I think we haven't read what he looks like is because we are suppose to see him in the way Dani will see him. All that good yumminess. LOL.

I have a clear picture of..."KMM deliberately avoided describing too much of his physical appearance. I think she is saving it for when dani matures and sees him through more... Grown up eyes. That way the description can be sexier. He does have very dark eyes, though his hair is dark and short. He has a skein of scars that stretches from his neck to his shoulders. Mac describe him as a scarred Gucci model lmao.
I wonder if you are all right and Dani ends up in Fairy. Perhaps she goes there to be a Seelie princess since V'lanes gone and so is the Queen. [I think Mac's going to become Unseelie royalty, what with all those Unseelie following her (Guarding?), bowing, and making way for her.] Time passes for Dani and she grows older in Fairy. And this is why Mac is the storyteller in Burned. Albeit, the narrator switches off and on and so Dani in Fairy gets her turn to showcase her growing self and the Unseelie King (love him!!!!) gets to woo his Queen. I love Christian so I wonder if he'll be in Fairy with Dani and they become really close! That way there's a better chance (better playing field and support for this love triangle, I'm not counting Dancer because he's like a brother to Dani in my book) for Christian to steal Dani away from Ryodan when the time comes for them to fight for her favor but the time they've spent together will make him understand her better and allow her to choose for herself. I'm a Ryodan and Dani together in the end fan. Making Ryodan hurt in the meantime is a plus for me. But there's also the issue of Ryodan and Dani spending time together, when do they get to spend time together if Dani is in Fairy? The next book? The end of this book? Ryodan still owns her since she wrote a contract with him and works for him. So how does that work if she's in Fairy?
Samantha, that's what I'm thinking. Even in the graphic novel he always has shadows covering his face. It made me so mad because I was like "Yes! I can finally know what he loo- Son of a bitch!"I do hope that when Dani comes back it will be like them seeing each other for the first time. Ryodan seeing what she became (which is sure to be awesome just like the tsunami) and her finally noticing him physically now that she's old enough to appreciate him.
What is a gripper? Grippers are the shimmery things Mac saw slide into a woman's body and take her over. Mac was freaked out because you couldn't detect the fae after that.

Crazy thought........I just found out that there will now be 10 instead of nine and my thought is, what if Dancer is the 10th because he turns out to be the boy that was held captive in Fairy but he escaped when the walls fell and now he's out for revenge but somehow developed the same powers as the Nine because he was in Fairy for so long...

It's like he's grooming Dani for him while doing others in front of her since to him, it's a guarantee he'll get Dani in the end. So it's fine to fuck anyone and everyone in front of her. His mysteriousness and possessive moodiness backfired for me. Dani needs to slap him around.

I keep think Kasteo is going to commit suicide to be with the love he had a thousand years ago, the one Ryodan and them took away from him. Why isn't she reborn? I'll admit I just want Kasteo to have a HEA because it's just wrong for him not to have one :(( if he dies Dancer could be a nine but does he have the same poof the nine has? If he did why could he help Dani in that ice place (hypothermia scene) while Ryodan, one of the nine, and Christian were helpless to help? Not yet a nine or ten and so could do things the nine can't? Dancer is definitely something not completely human.

I keep hoping that Dani becomes the 10th member. Ryodan kept talking about how one day she can talk to him about being like him when she's older. Then there was that small excerpt about a girl who is going to battle Barrons, Ryodan, Lor, Kasteo, Fade, and Daku (whose name was just revealed) so maybe in order to join you have to beat them each or maybe just some of them and that will be your placement within the group?

Good points, maybe he hadn't reached his full potential yet but we'll see it happen now. Something similar to Dani's powers stalling on her after emotional outbursts.
I agree I have felt so bad for Kasteo even since I read what they did to him. I can see why he hasn't spoken a word in 1000 yrs. That's a good question, why hasn't she been reborn. Was she from their planet or wherever they come from? You would think having relations with one of them would do something to you...like how we hear from Dani in how Jo changes and starts to glow.

I'm out of the loop, Jo glows??? So there's ten then hmmm KMM had a change of plans for one if the characters we already knew?? Maybe. I'm so sick of Jo and KMM knows she's a thorn in our sides is that why she's going to stay in this series and even have powers or something now? Ughn my head hurts. I thought Jo was just a Fio? But then again Fio did end up eating Unseelie and murderous.. I want Kasteo's girl please! It will be interesting if KMM grants her to us and makes her someone we already know ;)
