Kristen | 486 comments Can you tell me where you found Lor's sex scene POV? I've read it, but I tried to go back and read it again awhile ago and I thought it was taken down?

Kristen | 486 comments Ooh I'm looking back through them and I found a couple of things I skimmed over before.

Okay so Lor finally calls her "Mistress" not master like I said before, it seems like that sealed the deal. He said it because he couldn't seem to resist the fae compulsion, and he couldn't see through the glamour an illusion of her knowing exactly what image to project and get Lor's engine started. Seems the princesses are special and different then any other fae these guys have encountered. And their magic works on the nine. I'm curious about these Unseelie princesses they seem different then the princes, "I am woman hear me roar", and Unseelie feminist.

The Unseelie King comments that his love is finally Fae immortal (everything he's always wanted, though I think it's selfish he forgave Cruce for what he put her through so easily as long as the end goal turned out to be the Kings dream, "so she suffered, it was worth it because now I'll have her forever", though he's fae and the king so he spent enough time with his concubine as human he should know what a humans response to that should be, the response Mac had), anyway he goes on to say she's immortal unless killd in a very small number of ways, which he intended to eradicate immediately, we know these small ways are the spear which Mac has (and apparently wants to keep around and use on herself someday), the sword Dani has (as isn't likely to want to give up, and the nine who can kill fae easily. SoO? You think he'll try and eradicate all those things?

Then the snippet where Barrons tells Mac "you will obey me, you will not follow her" I don't think this is about following Dani into the Silvers like I thought it might be, Mac then mentions "too many questions, too few choices, and a hundred-odd unseelie. I think this might be the unseelie princess making a deal with Mac, combining armies or something? Since we know Mac has ghoul like creatures following her.

message 705: by Samantha (new)

Samantha | 1254 comments Well the Princesses might be stronger. They have been locked up for a long time. Who knows what their real strengths might be.

Interesting theory that Mac is following an unseelie princess into faery. That would be a kicker.

Samantha | 1254 comments I really want an extended teaser about the sheep, sheepdog, wolf, etc.

message 707: by Kristen (last edited Jan 06, 2015 03:36PM) (new)

Kristen | 486 comments Yea! So do I lol I wanna know whose lips are so close together. I think it's Mac's POV or it sounds like her, she's staring at two wolves (savage, fierce, a law unto their own) I first thought Barrons and Ryodan because the part about their past complicated, their future uncertain, but then she says she doesn't know if they'll kiss each other or kill each other, probably both. So I'm thinking it can't be Barrons and Ryodan, and maybe the POV isn't Mac. Maybe it's Jo and she's looking at Mac and Barrons? Or it's Kate's POV? But the thing is I don't really see Mac as a wolf.

message 708: by Samantha (new)

Samantha | 1254 comments Well that person wouldn't have been from Dublin. It started off with the person saying from their time in Dublin they realized x,y,z.

message 709: by Kristen (last edited Jan 06, 2015 03:53PM) (new)

Kristen | 486 comments Okay so Jo and Kate were probably born and raised in Dublin (though I don't know if that was said), so maybe it is Mac's POV. Really I'm more curious about the two wolves. Maybe the watcher is looking at an older Dani and Ryodan? Though I think "complicated past" seems like a long time or history, not just a few years, and I still don't see her as a wolf either. Maybe she's completely different when she comes back.

message 710: by Samantha (new)

Samantha | 1254 comments Me too. I really wanted to read that scene. Who had that much passion and tension between them to get up in each other faces in front of people. It must be a heated scene.

message 711: by Kristen (new)

Kristen | 486 comments This is beside the point. But what if the demon book decides Mac would be easier to convert and take over if she wasn't with Barrons (have him steadying her and stuff), so it hatches an evil plan to break them up. What if part of it is when Mac has her "black outs" and the evil book uses Mac's body and takes a lover? Or something that might drive Barrons away, unless Mac does that herself.

message 712: by Kristen (new)

Kristen | 486 comments What do you guys think about the UK and Seelie Queen/concubine? After billions dead the worlds ripped apart and rifts, wars, Cruce, etc, he wants to just pick up where they left off, and is just ecstatic about her fae immortal state he thinks it was all worth it. And then there was everything he did for her when she was just a human concubine (still wondering why she was so special). Is it an epic love story, or like the queen says is he a fool, nothing but a destroyer of worlds? I don't think what he did was romantic but then he's basically god like so he doesn't see things the same way a human would, or apparently the seelie. Mac complains the old queen should of just let them be together and gave him what he wanted, and why oh why couldn't she just do that. But it's over and done with, and the things he did before the war, fighting the war, and everything since is kind of inexcusable, so I kind of hope she doesn't take him back. I agree with her assessment of the situation she is not his love and concubine, hasn't been for quite some time. Though I love his character, I don't think he should get what he wants, when so many suffered and lost the loves of their lives. I wonder which side Mac would be on.

I can't see her sleeping with someone else.

message 714: by Kristen (new)

Kristen | 486 comments Yea guess not still, a jealous Barrons? Geez. Still it would make sense for the book to tear them apart from each other. Mac needs and depends on Barrons.

I for one love Macs point of view.

I don't think that everybody here hates Mac. We jus prefer Dani. Nobody will critisize you for liking Mac more ;)

I don't hate her. I just prefer Dani. I don't knock anyone's thoughts. There are plenty of people who don't care for Dani. I accept that. It's all good.

message 718: by Kristen (new)

Kristen | 486 comments I like Mac, I prefer her to Dani!! I think she's funny, and definitely has a backbone. Though it sounds like I don't, probably because skimming through the books again the things I don't like are what strike out at me first. I like how Mac looks at different angles, I just need to take the fact that her pink bubble has only been popped for a few months now and she already experienced a lot of changes that would of taken down a lesser person, she's still learning and developing as a character at least we have a few more books to go so I'm assuming she is.

message 719: by June (new)

June | 590 comments myself- not much of a Mac fan but she Karen's creation so she can do whatever she wants with the character and I am glad she does get some love from fans. I am not buying the book at release time I just want some reactions regarding the book and how it is laid out before purchase. The book blurbs they have released so far for it don't give me much hope that other characters are that pronounced and the snippets have been majority Mac centric. I was hoping for at least 1 major Dani related snippet but none have been provided. I know many people think the release of the next book coming hot on the heels is because of a major cliff hanger happening in Burned, which is pretty much a legitimate prediction, but I also think that the book being released so close together is because Dani is not very prominent and KMM can assure her fans that her time is coming this year too. Just an idea I have regarding it, because she has been writing the book forever so my thoughts are she originally already wrote most of Feverborn and it contains more Dani time. I really will enjoy some feedback from everyone to let me know how it unfolds. Hope everyone gets want they want regarding their favs!

I'm with you June. I want to see some of the reviews of the book before I buy it. I am not a Mac fan either and don't like that they are making it to be her book. Every advertisement I see for this book is about her. I will read it eventually though.

message 727: by Kyra (new)

Kyra | 106 comments Apparently, the book has already been leaked according to FB. You could see spoilers sooner than expected. KMM is asking people not to share it.

message 728: by Inanda (new)

Inanda | 586 comments I am reading Iced now for the ? time. Taking it real slow. I wander if we will get more teasers from KMM! I will prefer not to get any!! It feels like they will spoil my enjoyment of Burned. We have waited this long I want nothing to spoil the book.

message 729: by KimeyDiann (new)

KimeyDiann | 125 comments I'll definitely be MIA when Burned is officially released. I don't mind the teasers, but I don't want to read any spoilers by accident.

Haha. Same, I love spoilers. I also am gonna wait until some more reviews are out. To see whether there will be enough Dani/ Ryodan, before buying. If not, I might just borrow it from the library. Lol.

Yes, guys please spoil us! Haha.

Winnie-never-buys-her-books-from-oligarks | 270 comments Haha, is there anyone else looking for the spoiler? I just can't control myself obviously. I'll have to read the book fast just to keep sane :)

KimeyDiann | 125 comments Yep, I will be staying far away from this place after the book releases! LOL
At least until I finish reading it!

message 736: by Kristen (new)

Kristen | 486 comments I love spoiler, I'll read the book anyway it doesn't take any of the enjoyment out. I'm always looking for spoilers or hints, because other peoples perceptions are usually different from mine, and I like to each everyones take on it. I read reviews, and interviews hoping there will be some that drop, and I always have questions about the book I'm hoping someone else does to and asks the author about it. Sometimes depending on who it is they even answer.

Kyra | 106 comments Inanda wrote: "Kyra that is number 1 on the book sin list!!!"

My curiosity always gets the best of me. Sometimes, I will read a few chapters at the beginning and then flip to the end.

There's only been once or twice where I read the end and hated it so much, I didn't want to read the book at all.

message 738: by KimeyDiann (new)

KimeyDiann | 125 comments I want someone to talk to and speculate with on really good books I'm reading, but I love the journey of reading the book and being surprised by the revelations as they come. It takes the fun out of it for me if I know what is coming before it happens.

There definitely needs to be two threads opened on this forum when the book comes out, one spoiler free (or at least with spoilers hidden behind spoiler tags) and one with spoilers. That way everyone that wants to chat and speculate with and without spoilers can. :)

message 744: by Cookie (last edited Jan 07, 2015 03:45PM) (new)

Cookie I'm curious, what were you guys' favorite scene(s) in Iced?

My favorite was when Ryodan and Dani encountered the Fae. Ryodan killed Velvet and threw his dead body in front of R'jan the Fae king, and said coolly, "In these streets, I'm king, liege, lord, and master. You are the 'it.'" Soo badass dani almost died.

message 745: by Samantha (new)

Samantha | 1254 comments Cookie, I loved that you are obsessed.

I had a few scenes that I loved but my favorite (which most people hate) was the scene where she goes to Chesters after she thought she killed Ryodan. He broke her down to show those emotions. It was such an intense scene. I loved every moment because I felt the bond right there.

Aren't we ALL obsessed?! :) Yeah I have a love/hate feeling for that scene. It is horrible but realllly good.

My FAVORITE part is when Dani finds out Ryodan hasn't ever seen batman and she freaks out. It was so cute and funny!

My other fave part is Christian's pov when he is watching Ryodan watch Dani and he sees what Ryodan is planning with Dani.

message 748: by Samantha (new)

Samantha | 1254 comments I love when Christian sees the way Ryodan looks at Dani when she walks away. It was like he dropped the shield. Totally messed Christian's head up. LOL

Little Feather | 278 comments Yes!!!! I was totally freaking when I read that part. Can't wait for more of that stuff in Burned :)

message 750: by Kristen (new)

Kristen | 486 comments I just can't get over it. A extremely sexual man staring at a 14 year old thinking "damn what an amazing woman she's going to be one day" "my woman?", "I have uses for her?". Because I highly doubt any girl or women in the nines lives have been a friend, ally, or just someone they called in for situations for some reason they couldn't work on themselves, I also can't imagine they've been interested in anyone of the opposite sex, without actually having sex. Even if it's not on his mind now, the fact that it's in the back of his head they might one day have sex, like of a preplanned, premeditative, future sexual encounter.
