Boy oh Boy: From boys to men, be inspired by 30 coming-of-age stories of sportsmen, artists, politicians, educators and scientists by Cliff Leek is a terrific addition to any library where young boys can't miss it.

This is a colourful, fun books for kids. I highly recommend learning and using "Kakistocracy". You'll be glad you did.The Dictionary of Difficult Words: With more than 400 perplexing words to test your wits! by Jane Solomon has a few that tested me, and I'm pretty wordy.

I recommend you introduce yourselves to the Slow Horses of English mystery author Mick Herron's Slough House series. In #6, they are turned loose into Joe Country. Exciting, snowy, scary, funny, and probably all too real.

Still a 5-star favourite after a re-read is Kate Atkinson’s fourth Jackson Brodie book, Started Early, Took My Dog. He just can’t help helping to make up for past tragedies when he was too young to help.

Just read Aussie author Annie Seaton's latest novel, Undara which is a real place in Far North Queensland - a great setting for an outback family drama. These lava tubes are mysterious caverns, and I included a few pictures.

QuantumThe first 3 are NG; the last one is a monthly freebie from Amazon.
I'm reading Before Familiar Woods. This is actually my first download and it's BRILLIANT. I was drawn to it because of some of the blurbs it received and the fact that it takes place in my home state. Suspenseful, but much more than that. Moving and beautifully written. Looking forward to more books and more discussions here!

I just enjoyed Aussie author Toni Jordan's new mystery, The Fragments. Double timeline: 1930s New York, 1986 Brisbane. Both believable and both well done!

I found this at the shelf of free books at Pacific Fair (a big shopping Centre on the Gold Coast). I agree that it is a great book and it describes the Brisbane of the '80s vividly. I will read her others. I haven't read your review yet - I wanted to reply straightaway when I saw your post!

Hope some Gold Coast readers snaffle it up and spread the word.

Fascinating and terrifying. Mindf*ck: Inside Cambridge Analytica’s Plot to Break the World
