What Books Are You Currently Reading From NetGalley
I can't remember if I responded or not so here goes, sorry if I already said this, I'm currently reading
and
both starting out well, although I haven't been reading at all today, setting up a new i phone 6 and had hit a snag but all is well now, whew!
Angela M wrote: "Robin , how is it so far ? I'm looking forward to it ."It's pretty good, it's well written with interesting characters. But I am wishing it was less about her crush/love for the Duc of Guise and more about the major political events going on at the time. It's not as one dimensional as some romances I've read, but I also wouldn't say it's super complex.
Reading Dark As My Heart
Enjoying it, but wish I had not been approved after the book was published... That has happened twice to me this month and is very annoying as I know we all try to organise our reading.
I'm reading Beyond The Veil. I didn't realize until after I downloaded this book that I already had a copy in my kindle account.
Marilee wrote: "I was just approved for Dean Koontz new suspense book Ashley Bell
, which I'll start reading soon."Lucky you! I asked for that one yesterday but havent heard back yet!!
Just finished
and cannot wait to start
Dean Koontz is one of my all time favorite authors. Happy Reading All!!
Whoopsie… I just got approved for another book… My Name is Lucy Barton, by Elizabeth Stroud [the Pulitzer Prize author of Olive Kitteridge [book:My Name is Lucy Barton|26155161]All of a sudden I seem to getting approved for everything. Why? I'm not the speediest reader or reviewer. Maybe I'm becoming a bit more selective about what I request? In any case, time to get off my computer and get reading!
Marilee , I got the Strout book too and I'm looking forward to it , but won't get to it for a while.
I have read Pretending to Dance. 3 generous stars . My review :https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Thank You very much to Net Galley, the publishers, and Robin Burcell, for the opportunity to read this great book.
Robin Burcell has worked as a cop, hostage negotiator, and as an FBI-trained, forensic artist . She’s also the author of award-winning thrillers. Now she uses that unparalleled experience to continue Carolyn Weston’s groundbreaking series of books, which were the basis for the hit TV show "The Streets of San Francisco."
Sgt. Al Krug and his younger, college-educated partner Casey Kellog are investigating a string of strangulation killings when another victim is found at the Presidio…but a surprising, violent incident at the crime scene makes them wonder if everything is what it seems. The two miss-matched cops, with sharply conflicting approaches to detective work, are under intense pressure to get results. It’s a race-against-the-clock investigation that propels them into the deadly intersection of politics, real estate, media and vice… the fertile, fog-shrouded killing field of a ruthless murderer.
This is a very enjoyable, easy reading, great story with plenty of characters, two great lead characters and different detectives, and Karl Malden and Michael Douglas faces kept coming into my head.
A very well written to me a real classic type police procedure, from an author will all the experience and knowledge.
Kept as a great pace with strong supporting characters, keep you guessing to the very last pages.
I am very keen to read more from this author, as I like her writing style.
A good four stars for me.
I'm finishing The Amish Midwife by Patricia Davids. I was about ready to give up reading Amish themed books as they were beginning to all sound the same.Davids book is different and I love how she's kept me interested in her storyline. I should have her book read tonight.

I haven't heard back either :(
Just finished reading Into the Magic Shop by James Doty, MD. Excellent book as he tells about how one person can make a difference. It also helped that I knew the area Doty grew up in as I could picture the places he wrote about.
