The main characters Gustaf and Anna Klar and their children, Ellen, Elisabet, and Carl travel from their home in Sweden in 1897 to the United States. They travel to Ellis Island, settle in New York City and finally travel to St. Paul, MN where they settle in Swede Hollow, a neighborhood in St. Paul where other Swedish Immigrants live. The story follows their journey through life where they lived in Swede Hollow and Gustaf works for the railroad. One child dies, one grows up and moves out of the Hollow and one moves to Duluth, then back to the Hollow, and then to Two Harbors. The journey continues to 2007 when one of their descendants goes to the burned out Hollow, now Phalen Park and says thank your for their journey and life. This is a well researched historical fiction covering a journey of 130 years and 4,160 miles. I finished this book on (11/21/2019).

Congratulations to everyone who completed the challenge! 36 of you completed the whole of the seasonal challenge. Six people also completed a second round (all 12 prompts twice using different tasks) and four incredibly speedy readers finished a third round (completing all 36 tasks)!
