I know Sam and Nehemia were already killed, but with YA novels such as this one about wars and conflicting sides, there's always major character deaths. I feel like Aedion is important enough to be killed and his death would set in motion a whole bunch of messy events.
I do think Aedion will die eventually, not in QoS. Maybe un book 5 ir 6.
I think Aedion will eventually die to. I think it will be in the next book that he dies same with Arobynn although I think it's possible he'll survive until the end but he definitely dies
Yep I have to agree with you guys. As sad as it'd be I think Aedion will die too, not sure when possibly in a couple of books time but he'll be another one of the major deaths in the series. I can't really imagine Sarah Maas killing Dorian, Chaol or Rowan but she still needs some heartbreak in there, therefore I think it'd be Aedion :(
Ya I don't think Dorian, Rowan or Chaol will die either but there will definitely be a lot more Major character deaths
I think Manon might possibly die I don't know
I'm sure Aedion won't die. Enough deads by the moment. And yeah, probably Manon could die... But that's it
I don't think Manon would die, but Asterin might. Maas never wrote death(s) without it being important to the plot. what I fear is someone (possibly Aedion) death would bring up Aelin's powers even with the King sealing magic and all.

I don't allow asterin to die until she becomes a couple with manor anc they grow old and die together
But... we also loved Sam too much :( But I really think that one of the Thirteen will die. Some death that would set off something important in Manon.
I'm interested in seeing what role Ren and his Grandfather, Murtaugh have yet to play.
Isn't Murtaugh somewhere spreading the news of Aelin? Or did he come back?
He is, but I'd like to read about the way he goes about it, People rallying to the prospect of Aelin taking down the King of Adarlan and restoring Teressen to its former glory.
Have just read the three chapters and so excited for QoS!!! Reading everyone's theories and ideas just whets my appetite even more. Can't wait to find out what Aelin's plans are and how she will outmanoeuvre Arrobyn. Also wondering if she'll unleash some of her power when she finds out about Dorian.
I'm not a shipper but if I had to put money on it, I'm guessing she'll end up with Chaol. There's a lot of foreshadowing that points to it and in those opening chapters the tension between them is still palpable (he recognised her too, I'm sure of it).
There's so much to look forward to! Can't wait until September.

I read a theory on tumblr, and I don't know if it's already been brought up, but basically this theory was..."manon stated somewhere that whomever kills a clan leader and survives is able to inherit some of their power. aelin killed baba yellowlegs. what if this leads to aelin being immune to iron, even though shes fae?"
If this theory proves true and magic is again returned to Terrasen, then this would pretty much make Aelin unstoppable.
That's kinda scary actually, but maybe not in a bad way.. If she's able to overcome the iron in her blood, she could have power rivaling Brannon whom she got it from.
Ooh, this by far is my favourite theory. I always wondered if be ridding of Yellowlegs did anything to Aelin, because she was a legend. A clan leader like that has to have more to her story than just ending it when Aelin killed her off. That death had to mean more and I had a feeling it was more than just stirring up the other witches.

I have this theory that Arobynn killed Lady Marion and wanted the Wyrdkey or Aelin. Evidence: 1) how was Arobynn just magically there to fish Aelin out of the river? If it was winter, an eight year-old kid would not last long in that sort of cold and that is coming from a Canadian. That means he was really close at thetime she fell in. 2) There was no smell to indicate the Valg were involved. 3) The man cut the bridge, a manœver most likely used to trap her instead. If the man had wanted to kill Aelin, he would've just stabbed her with the sword instead of cutting the ropes for the bridge. 4) Lady Marion screamed "she is a child" to the man before he killed her. Personally, that sounds like her trying to convince someone not to kidnap a child or something else, not like trying to convince him not to assassinate a princess. Idk thats probably just me and I can see both sides to it. 5) Arobynn took the Wyrdkey, and this was the night after Aelin received it. Also, this is highly improbable, but Cain or someone said all the players are returning or something along those lines, so could Arobynn represent someone from the Valg wars. If so, who?
And another question: why didn't the king make Celaena kill Arobynn?
Because the King is not stupid and knows better than messing with Arobynn. There are moments when I think those two have been making plans together for years.
I agree with Ale, why kill of a demon Lord like Arobynn when you can use him as an ally?
Hmm... In QoG Perrington killed Lady Marion and Aelin's parents. It'd be cool if Maas changed that, though. If anything, if Arobynn really was the assassin, it'd only make Aelin enjoy killing him even more(preferably by skinning him alive, cutting up his body in pieces and then burning what's left of him).

Agree. I've aleayd thought that Arobyn is Aelin's parents killer. Too much coincidences. And I think that may be he's royal burn os may be a lost lord or something. Arobyn doesn't stay calm just with his underworld kingdom, he wants more and Aelin was a good chance to get everything

It is what led her to conclude officially that the King killed her parents. I think the assassin will still have to be closer to the king, one of his experiments maybe.

But for some reason I have a really bad feeling they'll have a super emotional reunion where they come to terms and discover everything that's happened since last time they saw each other, then he'll be killed. Then Aelin will fly into a rage similar to when Nehemia was killed and that rage will help drive her on to ultimately defeat the King of Adarlan.
Why am I so convinced Aedion will die? I don't want him to!
