That's a good incentive to get through this one quickly!! ;-)
Happy reading!
I'll be done with my book tomorrow, probably later in the day.
Good night :-)

It wasn't till I was almost drooling into my phone that I decided to check the book properly on goodreads... just to discover that although it is the first installment from the Keeper of the North series, it actually corresponds to Spellslingers Academy of Magic #9. NINE. I jumped into book #9 in a series.
And since it's a KU, of course is not like jumping into Anita Blake #25, because you feel a lot more disoriented.
Nonetheless, the book is entertaining, and I'll eventually read the rest of the series. It doesn't hurt that all the books are "O" titles.
That sucks! #9 is a bit far into a series to suddenly start, but with these side-series it's bound to happen sooner or later to get mixed up :-/
At least you're enjoying the book despite that :-)

thanks Cat and E. It was awesome to see him last night and today for a little bit.
- he is spending today/tonight with his friends.
I only have a few pages left to go so will be done before I'm heading to bed.
I'm going to start my SZ2 book tomorrow. I'm assuming that I don't have to read for SZ1 this time? If that changes, let me know and I'll pick up something short.

We need two readers for SZ2, which is E & I.
We need to think about timings of things for the safezones though.
Lemme check what else we found for the other safezone tasks / see if I can find some quick ones .

I've found a couple for SZ2, so I suggest that we aim to finish that first (E & I reading for it) then SZ1 (Laura & Sonia).
Does that work?
Does that work?

I'll be finished the countdown book shortly and can start and maybe finish one of the SZ1 tasks once and E and I finish the countdown books

Not until E finishes her book then you can read yours. BUT we can't finish ours until all of SZ2 is complete.
I'll put you out of your misery now, Sonia ;-)
I'm done with the last Countdown book - The Call of the Wild.

I'll try to be quick and take advantage of the weekend to spend some quality time with my book. Monday, I'm back to work so I'll have less reading time again. Blergh.
*feels the pressure* o.O
;-)
I'm not very far into my crime book yet but I'm sensing that this might be good. I'm enjoying the writing style so far.

Found an interesting quote inside the book that undermines my cover flies as fitting for the nasty task ;-)
"And from a forensic perspective, flies are not just an unavoidable evil, they're an invaluable one."
So even the forensic anthropologist considers flies to be evil :-p

Done with my SZ2 book!
Not sure yet what I'll pick up next for SZ3, but I'll let you know tomorrow.
Good night :-)

Lol
It iiis!
And it was one of those dystopia trilogies that developed quite nicely over the course of the three books - interesting covers for challenges, too :-p

I'm going to be reading the first Mistborn book - finally!! I've had the boxset of the first three books for years without touching them. It fits for a large number of letters, so it shouldn't be a problem fitting it in wherever. I'll most likely only finish this one at the end of the week though.
However, as it looks like I may have a bit of free time at work this week, I'm going to be sneak reading one of those kindle freebies, or two, depending on how fast they go, on the cloudreader ;-)

I enjoyed the Mistborn books, and have the next series on my kindle, but I'm yet too get around to reading those... Sanderson is odd for me: I do enjoy the books, but it always takes me a while to get into them, for some reason.
I'm now reading Recursion (I'm writing DQs on 4th Sept, so I'd best get a wriggle on) and Furyborn (on audio from Scribd, and it's been formatted in that annoying way Scribd does occasionally, breaking the chapters into shorter segments, so it's pretending there are 150+ chapters (there aren't) which is oddly demoralising. I've also got to read The Player of Games for Thursday - RL book club.
It's a lot! and I've got actual work to do today, so sneaking audio won't be possible :(

That is a lot to be reading in just a few days! Especially if work isn't letting you read (booh).
But you'll manage, I'm sure! :-)

The Player of Games is a reread, and the only deadline for Furyborn is next Monday, for spell outs.
Currently feeling a bit apprehensive, but fingers crossed!

Oh, lots of time then for Furyborn! Player of Games will be quick since it's a reread and it won't be terrible either if you haven't read the whole thing by the time the book club meets since you've read it before. So all good!
Concentrate on Recursion first because of the DQ and you'll be fine :-)

No clue what to read next. Specially since I just want to curl in a ball and mourn the whole year of waiting for more Catalina.
