i wanna read from a wider range of countries and i wanna read more non-fiction

I just want to diversify my reading in all aspects. I also want to include more nonfiction. I need to add more manga in there too because I had so much fun with it last year.

I always participate in challenges. I have about 8 yearly challenges going right now. They all look good. But, if I don't like one as well as I thought I would, I simply drop it. I also participate in a variety of challenges that run any where between 1 month to 6 months.
And I will get some of my physical books on hand read and passed on.

I'd like to read more non-fiction, in all sub-genres. and perhaps tackle a few more classics as well.

I want to keep up with my reading journal – I created spreads that I've never done before so hopefully that will help me stick to it. I also want to read a lot of from my own bookshelves. One of my biggest goals is to read books that I'm super excited for. I'll pick up books that may not be higher on my TBR priority because I know they'll be quick reads or they're borrowed from the library but I really want to focus on being more intentional. I'm a mood reader and I will read pretty much any genre but I really want to focus on reading my favorite genres this year. I also want to post more content on my bookstagram.

This is a tough question for me to answer but I'm just going to pick one of my most anticipated releases and not dwell on it too much because there are so many I'm looking forward to. I'm going with Faebound by Saara El-Arifi.

Angel of Vengeance by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. This is the 22 book in the Pendergast series. I have read and enjoyed all of them.

the angel of indian lake by stephen graham jones. i'm excited to see how the trilogy ends!

It's probably my first fictional love, Aragorn, from LOTR lol. Even from book to movie my feelings didn't change about him. He's just such a cool character. Viggo Mortensen definitely did Aragorn justice.

Mine varies, I have so many. If I had to paint a broad stroke, I'd say Elizabeth Bennett, Jo March, Anne Shirley. For their individuality, intelligence and their forthright approach in their worlds.

Oh my gosh. So many choices. At this moment, I am going with Bilbo Baggins from LOTR, The Hobbit. I loved how he went on an adventure. He had no idea what he was doing, but he just kept pushing on.

probably more gothic/dark academia, and non fiction.

Nonfiction or weird fiction books/horror. I also want to try more anthologies.

Pedro Páramo by Juan Rulfo. It looked like it would be my kind of book. A guy talking to ghosts. But instead it was a whole lot of nothing. Blah, blah, blah. No point to it all.

I had such high expectations for The Dangers of Smoking in Bed by Mariana Enriquez, but I disliked every story that was in it. I'm not sure if the translation ruined it, but the content in the book was just not for me.

i'm currently re-reading my heart is a chainsaw by stephen graham jones, and i'm gonna re-read the second book don't fear the reaper soon because the third book comes out this year. there's a lot of other things i've been wanting to re-read but i'm not sure what all i'll actually get around to

I don't read a lot of series, but so far I'd have to say The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang (even though it's only a trilogy). I've read the first two books multiple times and they never bore me. I always find something new that I missed the previous read. I'm excited to finish the trilogy this year.
I'd like to add a manga series and say One Piece by Eiichiro Oda. It's just so much fun.

Tough choice. But I am going with the Aloysius Pendergast Series by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. All the books have been consistently good.

- Eragon by Christopher Paolini, reread the first 4 books in the series then read the latest in the series.
- Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White, a childhood favorite.

i'm gonna say the indian lake trilogy by stephen graham jones even though it's only a trilogy. i can't think of the last time i read a series. i don't really gravitate toward them
QOTD: Has your bookish tastes, reading formats, routines, etc. changed over the past year? If so, how?

My reading taste has changed a lot over the past year. I read a lot more e-books since buying a kindle. I definitely picked up more diverse books than I have in the past. I read manga now!? I think I enjoy reading more now that I understand new releases aren't the only books I have to read.
