Defining beach reads is interesting. I have seen people list thrillers as beach reads and that is something that I would never consider :)

• Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid, because I enjoyed Daisy Jones and the Six.
• The Wolf and the Woodsman by Ava Reid, because it is supposed to be similar to Spinning Silver and The Bear and the Nightingale, both of which I enjoyed.

I bought both of those books. I know the library has a physical copy of Malibu Rising and a physical copy of The Wolf and the Woodsman is on order. These are both anticipated releases for me too.
