I too am well past 35, even doubled. I now find libaries are my friends, I haven't room any more to store all the books I read. Apart from tiring of shipping them from the UK to Canada, Canada to the US and then back again. The last move I got rid of 75% of my books.
Jo, that space thing is part of why i got a kindle. I also think
is on the coming attractions list here....and I am well over 35 but not a disciplined reader.....

I've started it and so far am finding it pedestrian and the premise a little hard to swallow. The whole water shortage thing was done far better in Dune.
Marty, I bought a Nook partly for the same reason. I have boxes of books in my kids' attics. And tons of them on my shelves at home. But there's something homey about lots of books.
I went ebook shopping last night and bought When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead and Scatterlings by Isobelle Carmody. I have no idea when I'll get to read either.(Okay, I also bought Lion's Heat by Lora Leigh, which is a fairly explicit romance, so I'm not admitting that.)

Having not won the raffle, I've just ordered a copy of The Curse of the Mistwraith for the group read. Ironically, the easiest and cheapest place to buy it is from The Book Depository, so it will be winging its way to New Zealand from the UK shortly. Hopefully it will arrive in time for the start of the discussion.
I made the mistake of visiting a used book store at lunch in search of Lord of Emperors by GGK and instead bought the following: The Lions of Al-Rassan by GGK (mmp)

I, too, am a huge GG Kay fan and The Lions of al-Rassan is one of my favorites.
Have not read anything by Carol Berg but have started picking up her books when I see them at used outlets.

I've been amazed by the quality of their stock (both paperback and hardcover) and the versatility of their inventory. I always find something to buy, but not necessarily what I was looking for when I entered the store. :)
My husband just told me my copy of The Adventure of the Princess and Mr. Whiffle just arrived today. SQUEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!Maybe I'll manage to get home early enough tonight to do a little reading. Happily it's short.

I just picked up The Curse of the Mistwraith today. I'm going to try to see if I can keep up with the discussions. I'm rather depressed I ended up missing the discussions for some of my favorite Miles books.And to prove my commitment, other than The Adventure of the Princess and Mr. Whiffle (which I claim doesn't really count), this is the first physical print book I have purchased since February of last year.
Janny - Your publisher needs to consider ebook formats other than Kindle! :)

On query, my editor tells me the older books require more work to format (and HarperCollins UK does not stint, they do a good job). I have asked to have all of the series in that format, and was told, the earlier books are 'in the queue' -- demand will push them forward.
Let the publisher know of your interest. That could speed things along. (Make sure you tell HarperCollins UK - that is the parent publisher).

If you type Janny Wurts in the search box, it brings up all the ebooks available in this series. You can read them on the Adobe Digital reader, and maybe the text is available in epub or it could be converted for the Nook.

If you do a search for Fugitive Prince Kindle on Amazon it finds a page but says currently unavailable (further info claims this is due to copyright restrictions). HarperCollinsUK did not respond to my two inquiries about the status of the book and why it's not available in the US.

I went to a used book store near where my parents live, and found four hardcovers I didn't think I'd ever come across!A 1965 edition of Dune and a 1976 edition of Children of Dune. Sadly, the middle of the trilogy was missing. Its too bad, because the books don't even look as if they've been read!
A 1991 edition of Outlander by Diana Gabaldon and a beautiful 1960 hardcover of To Kill A Mockingbird.
I had a wonderfully nerdy day!
