Been looking for this for a while
It's out of print and I have seen several used copies but every single copy has a severe case of broken spine. This was the best one out of the bunch

It was in the remaindered section

It wasnt all cookies and ice cream
We got woloped with a snow storm that night.
Ended up making a wrong turn and walked a couple of blocks before I realised I had made a wrong turn.
I lucked out because I lived in the area when I first moved here
so I had a good idea where I was and it was still sorta on my way home.

On a bit of a Moorcock spree, I'd say.

Bought Dynasty: The Rise and Fall of the House of Caesar

I knew it was coming out, but didn't know it was released! Kay is one of the few authors whose books I automatically buy. I will probably wait for the paperback, though.
I just picked up Pioneer Girl: The Annotated Autobiography, which I'm kind of excited about - I have always adored the Little House books and wondered how much of the actual history was condensed/modified/left out to make it friendly to younger readers.

it was released this week. I am waiting for November to read it.

I was browsing a couple of weeks ago and stumbled on it. I told myself I wasnt going to buy it. Today, weak from no sleep, I hopped on my bike and rode about 10k (6 miles or so) one way and bought it.
When I paid for it the cashier mentioned the price
I didnt even look at it, It was $40 CDN. I would of bought it
anyway but still, whew, pricey
The Only Rule Is It Has to Work: Our Wild Experiment Building a New Kind of Baseball Team

I had Taking Hope as a .pdf that Jim sent me before it was published but it seems to have disappeared from my files. I couldn't find it so I decided to get the finished product in paperback to go with my copy of High Rage. And I am embarrassed that I haven't gotten Ilana's book before now, but now is better than never.

I always get them a book. As I was looking came across a book for me.
Picked up TV (The Book): Two Experts Pick the Greatest American Shows of All Time
I belong to another group here at GoodReads and they read fantasy series. For 2017, they are starting with 2 series I have not read, even though I own most of the books, and so I used my Amazon gift card credit and bought League of Dragons (Temeraire) and Heir to Sevenwaters, Seer of Sevenwaters, and Flame of Sevenwaters (Sevenwaters) to complete the series. Early holiday gift to myself!

at the library sale, I got Carthage, The Children's Book and The Girl with All the Gifts

I have read the first five books and enjoyed them

Marcus Agrippa: Right-hand Man of Caesar Augustus
Something I was looking at but the price made me think twice about it.
My daughter also got me a $25 amazon card.
Got two books from my husband that I'm very excited about: The Food Lab: Better Home Cooking Through Science (any other food science nerds here?) and Children of Earth and Sky, the newest one from Guy Gavriel Kay.
