James Morcan | 11378 comments I vote interdimensional too, David

message 155: by Jim (new)

Jim (jimliedeka) I would go with inter-dimensional but less in a sci-fi way and more in a Neoplatonic way - not so much a parallel universe but a different level of reality.

I don't have that entirely figured out but it's the current direction of my thinking.

Bruce Patin | 23 comments My thinking is all of the above.

message 159: by Jim (new)

Jim (jimliedeka) James Morcan wrote: "You mean like another plane of existence, Jim?"

That would be another way of putting it. In a Hermetic or Neoplatonic world view, there are two extremes: God and the material world. In between are various levels of existence. In Kabbalah, these would be the sephira. Angels and other types of beings dwell in those in-between places.

Like I said, I'm still thinking it through. I think we tap into these planes when in altered states of consciousness. It's why people see elves and aliens on DMT. God is the Universal Mind and our individual minds partake of it, just imperfectly. Entheogens, meditation, and probably accidents of some sort give us a larger glimpse of that Mind.

Yeah, I'm way out there and I haven't put it all together. I'm not sure I believe it myself but it's the direction I'm exploring.

James Morcan | 11378 comments That theory makes more sense to me than anything else. But as you say, it's still only a theory.
A lot of UFO reports also involve paranormal descriptions, so that's a clue...

James Morcan | 11378 comments Assuming for a moment that aliens are real physical beings, or else interdimensional beings who have the ability to shapeshift into our physical reality...

Then could it be possible that all the different human races are remnants of different ancient alien races that seeded the Earth long ago? And that explains the physical variety of all the races that form humanity?

And again, assuming that is also true, then could it also be possible that people who now have extreme racial hatred are actually experiencing long forgotten cellular memories stored in human DNA? Memories of when there were Galactic wars between different races of aliens and perhaps different alien groups enslaved other alien and/or human races?

Or are racists just dickheads with no excuse whatsoever? :)

Elisabet Norris | 486 comments to play along with your assumption, one would have to dismiss the current theory of evolution...unless you mean to say that the dna was introduced later in the evolutionary process.

Kinda...

But I think it has more to do with control than increasing IQ for our own benefit.

One of the greatest movies, ever, Lisa.
Stanley Kubrick = a big f&%$@#& mystery of a man who appeared to know many, many secrets.

Here's one of the opening scenes from 2001: A Space Odyssey:

James Morcan | 11378 comments Lisa wrote: "interesting clip...what exactly was that thing in the ground? did the apes recognize it as their own?"

that's a monolith emitting some kind of sound/frequency...presumably placed on Earth by ETs or some other non-human beings to awaken apes and potentially spark higher thought.
At least that's my interpretation of Kubrick's scene!

Elisabet Norris | 486 comments OK. ..lol...while I watched the clip I thought to myself:"god, what an annoying sound effect!"
what you said makes more sense.

message 180: by Harry (new) - rated it 5 stars

Harry Whitewolf | 1745 comments If we are in a hologram-matrix, it's conceivable that 'a version of reality' is two dimensional.
I think that's part of what the 2001 monolith represented - an object with only two dimensions.

Just like the baddies in Superman II being caught in that flat thing.

Elisabet Norris | 486 comments of we are holograms, how can molecules create solid objects?

do you guys believe in alternate universe? kind of like in the series Fringe? ...and as I suspect is the case in the new series The Man in the Hightower.

More like multiple or infinite parallel universes as Quantum Physics suggests.
A lot of these things mystics have known about for centuries, but science is only now just catching up finally.

Kinda like what Dan Brown wrote: "Religion and science are not at odds, it's just that science is simply too young to understand".

The Perception Deception or...It's ALL Bollocks-Yes, ALL of it by David Icke The Perception Deception or...It's ALL Bollocks-Yes, ALL of it

If everything is a hologram, then molecules and 'solid objects' are all the same thing.
After all, is it not conceivable we could one day create a virtual reality where everything feels real?
(We're just already there...)

Not that I remember any... With daily stabbing attacks, tensions and war in neighboring countries, Obama - Netaniyahu love/hate relations and those of Putin-Erdogan, I'm not sure aliens would make a headline here -:)
When I was downunder, I remember being amused by a striking difference between the news in Australia and Israel. You guys had something about koala protection law adopted and the most terrifying was Ansett going bankrupt. What a calm and peaceful country, I thought to myself...

I remember seeing something alien-esque reported from LA area lately though

Elisabet Norris | 486 comments I am very reluctant to subscribe to your ideas of multi-verses and holograms.
Even though the concepts are far from religious, I feel it offers a similar helplessness. With religion, you are accepting the fact that there is a supernatural power out there that you have no control over and it can do whatever it pleases with your life at any time.

Does your theory suggest that we, at the end of the day, have no control over our own lives? That at the "push of a button" anything could happen, regardless of our actions?

message 189: by Jim (new)

Jim (jimliedeka) The one problem I have with the interdimensional/paranormal angle is how that fits with observed physical effects. To name a few, burn patterns on the ground, witnesses reporting symptoms, vehicles stalling. One that comes to mind is Cash-Landrum but that may have been an experimental military craft.

Even though I lean toward that theory, it seems that no single theory accounts for all the facts.

Well, that old philosophical debate about determinism isn't one anyone can answer easily! Do we have control over our lives? Whether one believes in a 'greater power' or not, the question of choice remains to one side.

Personally, I don't like any isms and categorisations because it ends up disputing one thing against another, rather than what the similarities are. So, I'm more interested in 'truth' (if there is such a thing) rather than science or religion.

There's some good scientific evidence for the holographic universe though.

I see it simply as 'them' being able to exist in different frequencies. Change the dial and you can increase or decrease your solidity; and affect things on mutli-levels.

message 192: by Jim (new)

Jim (jimliedeka) Like being in or out of phase with what we normally call reality? Hmmm

message 193: by Harry (new) - rated it 5 stars

Harry Whitewolf | 1745 comments Yep. :)

It's all to do with speed and density and whatnot, I reckon.
This reality's just a certain point on 'the dial'.

Bruce Patin | 23 comments Go to www.serpo.org for starters and read the book "Secret Journey to Planet Serpo". Anybody who has wondered about the 1947 Roswell crash should be thoroughly interested. Visit cia.gov and fbi.gov for old stuff. Get a subscription to Nexus Magazine (online only). just search for books on journeys to alien planets. I can't rate everything at 100% truth, and some of the credibility of some stuff gets low, but, how do you really know, without examining details and knowing what might be possible or not. It helps to have both a degree in physics and experience with psychic phenomena. Regarding Serpo, I have questions about the description of the communication methods, some of which don't seem right, such as chemical lasers pushing signals faster than light (quantum entanglement could work much better anyway), or artificially installed voice boxes in an alien who already communicates in a tonal language. But the person who wrote it up acknowledges that he is not a technical person, so maybe it is just poor interpretation.

message 200: by James, Group Founder (new) - rated it 5 stars

James Morcan | 11378 comments Bruce, I've Been reading Nexus mag religiously since about 92 (Editor/founder of the mag also lives here in Australia), have also read the Planet Serpo book and am a regular visitor to The CIA and FBI sites for research, especially the latter site including the FBI vault.
Read a lot of similar books to Serpo as well and know people who claim to have been abducted and even some who claim to have gone to other planets.
But it's hard to know the ultimate truths on any of this and I find it's best to just keep researching with an open mind (open to any possible scenarios).
I suspect others are the same in this group.
