Kris (My Novelesque Life) (mynovelesquelife) | 2447 comments I had to DNF We Shall See the Sky Sparkling as it felt like it was going nowhere. For some reason I thought this was going to be a historical mystery, and then as I started listening I thought it might be more of a romance. 25% in and I just couldn't get listen anymore. In good news, I am really enjoying The Better Sister. I am already 60% in! (Olivia Randall from The Ex makes an appearance in this one!)

Kris (My Novelesque Life) (mynovelesquelife) | 2447 comments I finished listening to Among the Mad (Maisie Dobbs series) and thought it was just okay.

I also finished listening to Dark in Death and loved it, as usual. I needed the comfort of Eve this weekend!

I literally just finished I Invited Her In and even tho it was predictable the emotions and drama kept me enthralled!

I finished reading and enjoyed The Secrets We Bury - the first book in the Undertaker's Daughter.

I finished a cool historical nonfiction book on houses in Vancouver (BC, Canada) At Home with History: The Untold Secrets of Greater Vancouver's Heritage Homes.

I had to DNF Death by Dark Waters as it was too slow and I soon lost interest.

Among the Mad (Maisie Dobbs, #6) by Jacqueline Winspear Dark in Death (In Death, #46) by J.D. Robb I Invited Her In by Adele Parks The Secrets We Bury (The Undertaker's Daughter #1) by Debra Webb At Home with History The Untold Secrets of Greater Vancouver's Heritage Homes by Eve Lazarus Death by Dark Waters by Jo Allen

I have not picked my next audiobook yet but I am reading Maybe I Do (Book 3). I loved the first two books, but did not get a chance to go back to finish the third book.

I finished Hard Target by Pamela Clare, Cobra Elite #1, and am so happy Clare is back to writing in the romantic suspense genre. Great start to the new spinoff series and here’s my review.

I finished listening to Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare, The Infernal Devices #2, and really liked this story. I’m enjoying this series much more than The Mortal Instruments and am glad we followed the author’s recommendation to read it in between. Here’s my review.

Lover Avenged (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #7) by J.R. Ward

Kris (My Novelesque Life) (mynovelesquelife) | 2447 comments Soon the Light Will Be Perfect turned out to be a shorter novel (5 hours on audio), so I was finished this morning. This coming of age story was well written and very realistic.

I went straight into listening to Lost Roses, Lost Roses is a "prequel" - so far it seems that it is only about Caroline's mother, Eliza, and her friends.

Soon the Light Will Be Perfect by Dave Patterson Lost Roses (Lilac Girls, #2 Prequel) by Martha Hall Kelly

I finished a short memoir (140-ish pages but also smaller size) Heart Berries: A Memoir. I am glad it was short as I could not stop reading (I finished it on my commute home). It is very lyrical so it might not be for everyone. I read this for my work book club (Indigenous reads) and loved it.

I started Running in the Family earlier this month but just finished the last couple of chapters last night. This is another lyrical memoir.

I am now reading The Earl Next Door (Book 1) for a blog tour. I am already liking the characters and story!
