Love your binge reads, Laura.
I finished listening to I Know You Know by Gilly Macmillan and enjoyed this story told by extremely unreliable narrators. Here’s my review.
I finished The Woman Who Knew Too Much by Tom Savage, Nora Baron #2, and am still liking this smart, clever series. It’s not your typical espionage thriller. Here’s my review.
I’m listening to Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens and reading Murder in Murray Hill by Victoria Thompson, Gaslight Mystery #16.

I am looking forward to your review on Owen's book, this is one I want to read.
I am 75% through Three Days Missing and it is a quick easy read so far, but not as suspenseful as I was hoping.

Thanks Jonetta!
I've finished a couple books this week.Enclave by Ann Aguirre On audio. This book was rough. The world building was so slow and still didn't answer some of my questions. I'm assuming more things will unfold in books 2 and 3 but I'm such a "Why" person I need more from a first book. I had some fundamental issues with the character development as well. I hated the idea our heroine was so complaisant even though Aguirre explained to buck the system meant being exiled. I disliked the love triangle. I disliked the second guy in that triangle immensely and he idea he was allowed to join their group and the idea Teagan (who also joined at the same time) was forced to continue the journey with the leader of, essentially, her rapists. Not that they were called rapists or anything....in Aguirre's dystopian world there were Hunters, Builders, and Breeders. If you didn't fall into one of those categories you were worthless to the enclave or gang.
The audio was not great in the aspect of her voice was naturally high and when I tried listening at my normal speed of 1.5x it went chipmunk. I did give the book 2.5 stars because I want to see where it goes so one star was probably more of a pity star.
I also finished About That Night by Julie James on ebook. This was a very disappointing addition to this series. Straight up contemporary romance when I was expecting Rom/susp as the first two books in the series were. I liked the beginning a lot because Rylann was a kick butt trial lawyer and we saw her in action, which was amazeballs. I also liked Kyle a lot. Unfortunately, the middle of the book bored me to tears. It became a chore to continue reading. There was a weird flashback that was pointless. It was only to add drama where there shouldn't have been. It could have been explained earlier on in a single paragraph. The only reason I gave this book 3 stars was because I happen to like Contemporary Romances and I did like the secondary characters a lot but I hope the 4th book goes back to RS.
I so agree about About That Night. I was very disappointed too. Julie James never had a strong suspense element before, but at least it was there in previous books. I really missed it too.

I finished Murder in Murray Hill by Victoria Thompson, Gaslight Mystery #16, and loved it! Here’s my review.
I finished listening to Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens and was blown away by the beauty and substance of this story. It’s impossible to believe this is a debut novel. Here’s my review.
I’m listening to The Summer Wives by Beatriz Williams and reading Colt by Kate Bridges, Alaska Cowboys and Mounties #1.

I read your review <3 I am going to move this one up the list now.
I have finished Three Days Missing and thought it was okay - it was predictable with no real suspense. I also listened to The Mapping of Love and Death (book 7) and really enjoyed the book. The mystery was okay, but enjoyed the storylines around it. I am now listening to a British contemporary romance (reissued from 2000)Amanda's Wedding.
I read an author I liked as a kid, Gordon Korman - The Unteachables which I enjoyed. He still has his humour, and it reminded me of my childhood. I really like the Little Dreamers: Visionary Women Around the World which has great illustrations and great women role models for any age. I also enjoyed Sarah Andersen's newest comic collection Herding Cats. I finished a suspense novel The Last Thing I Told You which I found a bit dull, convoluted and didn't care for the ending. I also finally finished Operation Yellow Star / Black Thursday! This book is heavy about France and the Nazi, so it took me awhile to chip away at it. It was well-researched but could be a bit dry at times. I am now reading A Scandal in Scarlet which is a series I really enjoy!

I finished Amanda's Wedding and liked it waaaaay more than I thought I would. It is a bit like Sophie Kinsella's writing with a bit more realism and sarcasm. It is set in the late 90s (the time it was actually written) so the reissued edition does not mess with that - and it brought back the days of not having a cell phone. I listened to this one on audio and really liked the narrator.I started listening The Marriage Lie and I don't understand the production. The novel is set in Atlanta and the accents are not consistently done or well done. The men sound like a heavy breather on a cheesy tv movie. I will keep going as the story seems intriguing...so far.
I finished Colt by Kate Bridges, Alaska Cowboys and Mounties #1, and here’s my review.
I finished listening to The Summer Wives by Beatriz Williams and here’s my review.
I’m reading Waiting For You by Claudia Connor, McKinney/Walker Brothers #2, and listening to Run Away by Harlan Coben.

I finished The Marriage Lie this morning as I could not sleep. It was an okay mystery, interesting and already done plot, that lags in suspense. I would really not recommend the audiobook, it was poorly done. I also finished reading, A Scandal in Scarlet which I really loved reading. These are light mysteries that are great in between heavy novels and gritty suspense or too many domestic suspense.
I am now listening to I Owe You One. I have not read Kinsella in awhile and usually enjoy her non-Shopaloic books. So far I am liking this one, and am enjoying the narrator. I also started Trouble on the Books - another cozy mystery.

Finished
and
The first was a Love Inspired category romance from Harlequin. The romance was super mild and a bit average but the suspense was fantastic. I'll be looking for more in this series so I can read the conclusion to the underlying mystery.
The City of Ashes was better than the first book and I'm glad the audio was read by a different person. I liked it a lot and am looking forward to continuing on. I have The City of Glass on audio on request and I should get it in a couple of weeks.

I’ve not heard of that romance series. Looking forward to seeing if the second book holds up. I, too, thought City of Ashes was a big improvement over the first book and same for the narrator.

I finished Mine to Take by Cynthia Eden and even though it was a short book, more of a novella, it felt quite complete and I liked it. I rated it 4 stars but it barely made it there because Trace was almost too Alpha with his possessiveness. Eden worked this into the plot well though and made the reader question who was stalking Skye and who was protecting her.Currently reading Untouchable by Jayne Ann Krentz because it's due back to the library soon. Up next is a re-read of Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews for a group challenge. I'm looking forward to it because I read it for a super speedy challenge (or at least fast for me) and must have skipped over a lot. I don't remember much of it.

Great reviews!
I finished listening to The Alice Network and enjoyed the story. I also finished up some books I started but didn't get back to...like the very brief biography of Anne of Cleves Anne of Cleves: Henry VIII's Unwanted Wife and liked that Anne got her own book as she is often just a short chapter in Henry's life. I also read The Path Made Clear: Discovering Your Life's Direction and Purpose which has some great quotes in it. I had to DNF The Perfect Dress as it was a bit over the top for me. I finished How to Be Alone: If You Want To, and Even If You Don't which was an interesting read as I could agree with many of the sentiments.
I am now listening to An Anonymous Girl and reading Real Murders (Book 1). The latter is because I watched two Hallmark movies in the series ad thought it was cute.

I look forward to your thoughts on Carr's book!
I finished An Anonymous Girl and was liking it till about 70-ish%. I liked the premise, but the ending was executed well so the novel fell flat. I don't know if domestic suspense novels are for me anymore. I always seem to be expecting more.
I finished listening to In the Blink of an Eye and thought it was well written. I am now listening to I Know You Know and so far am enjoying it. I am liking the podcast element in the novel.
