What series (or book) are you reading in 2019?

Sorry for long list I have not listed my reads in a bit.

I finished listening to:

- - 4 Stars - suspense thriller - a very engaging and interesting suspense!
- - 3.5 Stars - British police procedural - I liked the first book in the series more than this one, but enjoyed it!
- - 3 Stars - this one is a bit of a mystery, but is more about friendships drama-filled friendships.
- - 3 Stars - a mix of suspense/horror/fantasy short stories (a story or two was co-written by Stephen King). I really liked a few of the stories and found the introduction really interesting.
- -3 Star - I really enjoyed the first book, so was disappointed that this one was so tame in emotions.

I DNF:
- - I tried this rom-com on audio and I just could not finish

I finished reading:
- - 3 Stars - Nonfiction - true crime
- -3 Stars - short books on essays about books. I thought it was okay.
- -3.5 Stars - a fun mystery - if you like Agatha Christie
- - 4 Stars - amazing collection of poetry!

I agree on 99 percent mine. I finished but it was a struggle.

Glad to hear it wasn't just me, Laura. I gave up only because I struggled with her first book as well.

I saw your comment on Frost's book, and I agree it was not a great book. The series does get better :)

@Jonetta--Where the Crawdads was so highly recommended by you I couldn't do anything but put it on my library waitlist. It took forever to get the audio version but it was so worth it. I'm sure it would have been a great book if I would have read it myself but the audio version blew me away.

@Robin--It was nice to get back to an SEP...it's been a long while since I read one....and it was so good!

I went from one extreme to the other with my reading this week. First I listened to Seen and Not Heard by Anne Stuart. Though some of the suspense was interesting, I had a hard time with the TSTL heroine and the lack of romance in a book that was billed as "romantic suspense".

My next book was a novella in the Legionnaires series. It was Forbidden River by Brynn Kelly. I'm not a fan of short stories, but this was top-notch. Actually, the whole series is very good. If you are a fan of Suzanne Brockmann's Troubleshooters series, you should give this series a try.
