In what is possibly a first for me, I loved the writing more than the story in Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury.
I mean, the story was pretty decent and super creepy but I just can't get this writing style out of my head!

Thanks to PattyMacDotComma!!!A new series, only available on kindle, (and anyone who knows me will know I prefer print-on-paper) but so addictive that I'm hooked. I just finished Lying and Dying by British author Graham Brack and I would say it is every bit as entertaining as Mick Herron's Jackson Lamb series. I see the first three books are on special on Amazon... I will definitely be reading them.

What is it about penguins that is so cute? This little Not-So-Brave Penguin surprises herself when her friend is lost. Another lovely Steve Smallman children's picture book.

I've always enjoyed Maggie O'Farrell's mysterious stories, but I'd never read her debut After You'd Gone until now. Glad I found it! Good book and well worth a read.
