Book 1: Pick your starter and read a book with one of the Main Page Genres (MPGs) listed. The MPGs listed are mystery and non-fiction. I chose mystery and read Claire DeWitt and the Bohemian Highway by Sara Gran (288p).
Book 2: Read a book that meets ALL four of the requirements: has at least one of the MPGs that's in your starter bucket, is a standalone book, is NOT the author's first book, and is at least 300 pages long. I read The Witch Elm by Tana French who has previously written the Dublin Murder Squad books but this one is not part of that series, and which has 509pp and the MPG Mystery.
Book 3: Read with a book that meets ALL three of the requirements: has at least one of the MPGs that's in your starter bucket, is rated 4.0 or higher on Goodreads, has won an award per its Goodread's page. The book must be an award winner, not a finalist or a nominee. I read Destiny of the Republic: A Tale of Madness, Medicine and the Murder of a President by Candice Millard, which has MPG non-fiction, has a star rating of 4.2 at time of posting (confirmed in task help thread at posts 71 and 75), and won the Edgar Award in 2012 (339p).
339+509+288=1136 pages.
