Welcome New Members! (Intro Thread)

If you haven't read Misery by Stephen King, I highly recommend that. Also Chevy Stevens is a great writer as well. She's more psychological thriller than horror though.

Thank you! I feel very fortunate to live here :)

Greetings,
I'm Peter J Larrivee, an Indie author from Rhode Island. I have one debut novel published, and one episodic novella that I am publishing online, both within the horror/weird fiction genre.
My novel is called Revenant, and the novella is called Legend Haunted The first four chapters are already online, and the fifth should be out by e end of April.
I love a good horror story, one that doesn't just provide gore and bloodshed, but creates real tension and makes you think twice about turning off the lights at night.
Being a Rhode Island native, there's a lot of H.P. Lovecraft influence in my work, and I love finding similar stories that border on the weird fiction frontier.

Anyways, about me, I am 19 years old and I started reading horror in eleventh grade. I remember seeing a Stephen King novel in the school library and thinking, "Eh, it's probably not that good." I checked it out, read it, scared the crap out of me, and I went on to read all the novels I could find by him. Years later, I still love the genre but I haven't had any time to read any horror books. (Sadly, lit majors don't get to read what they want). Hopefully, this summer will be filled with a lot of reading.
I'm excited to see what adventures this group holds for me!

I love being scared and horror books are the best thing to make me feel that way! Can't wait to see what everyone is reading and what suggestions people have for a good scare!

I've written a few novels, both under my name and as a ghost writer. Here are two of them, both horror. Any help in getting to know how to make connections on here would be great.

Hello! It's so nice to meet everyone!
I absolutely adore Stephen King, he's the inspiration behind my writing! I love to write horror/thriller as well though I like to add psychological twists to it like I did in my debut novel Dead by Morning.
I love to watch horror movies as well, though lately I'll admit they've been a bit disappointing. Nevertheless, I'm a horror addict through and through!
