Woohoo! Looks like you made the most of the Readathon with that great stack of books! I’m just starting The Sandman and really enjoying it. I guess there are a lot of volumes ahead ;). Hope to see you next time!
So glad we will have a Reverse Readathon soon!!!
My Most Likely Reads:
Neil Gaiman- Fortunately, the Milk by Neil Gaiman
John Grisham - Ford County. I read one story a readathon. Book is now available on Kindle Unlimited. Easy for me to read that way.
Other Short Story Collection - Winter's Tales by Isak Dinesen. Maybe just a story or two.
Picture Book Cherry Blossom and Paper Planes
Young Adult Dahling, If You Luv Me, Would You Please, Please Smile by Rukhsana Khan
Audio bookTamed and Untamed: Close Encounters of the Animal Kind by Tamed and Untamed: Close Encounters of the Animal Kind
Other Options
Coffee, Castanets and Don Quixote by Robert Noble Graham on KU
The Drive: Searching for Lost Memories on the Pan-American Highway by Teresa Bruce from my physical bookcase.
Isn't it Romantic by Wendy Wasserstein on my physical bookcase.

Nice Cynda! I’m doing the pre readathon challenge first. Not that I’m doing much beside keeping track of my reading time lol
Hi Susan, hi Kelly! I'm still refining my list as I suppose most of us are, a never ending task, one I absolutely enjoy. Thinking I am in good company there. . . . See you and everyone else soon, soon 👍
I am going through to say hello to many--trying to everyone active this time around. If I miss you, say hello here so I catch up with you. ⭐⭐⭐

I'm not very good about checking in with people either. :-) I get into my reading groove and that's all I want to do.

3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon?
4. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those?
My usual prep of a good sleep just before start of readathon did not happen. Busy week. And now I have another necessary errand to run on bus. Such is life. And we continue.
I enjoy this one well enough. I will not oarticipate not for long enough for sense of enoughness to come, I believe. And that might be good!. . . .There will be other readathons.
And we continue.
5. Whatsurprises pleases you most about the Read-a-thon so far? The variety of questions we are asking each other.

JAMES POTTER AND THE HALL OF ELDER'S CROSSING is my Readthon's second half choice . Probably won't finish it but I expect to get through the first 100 pages if I'm not interrupted .
Looks like a good Readathon, Cyndy! I enjoyed your topics; in fact, there were so many good ones this time, I couldn’t keep up and still do my reading ;). Hope to see you this fall!
Thanks Vanessa, Susy, and Susan for stopping by. I enjoyed all the topics we had going. I will let Avid know that others thought similarly. I so plan to be here in the fall. Hope to see you three and many others here again in the fall!

I finally understand the why and kudos to you guys for acknowledging the global aspect and addressing it. Highest of fives to all the mods, volunteers and planners for executing a two week long party. I dont know how you guys do it but so much fun!
Thanks Vanessa and Newly. Hope to see you both here in November. Newly, I will be napping again. Hope you will enjoy your readathon, napping or no.

Planning my food.
I want to take a made-from-scratch flan to my parents' house on Thanksgiving. So I will be practicing the day before Dewey's. I will be ready early to read just so I can taste that trial-version flan!
Also I am probably making my version of chicken soup--a personal hybrid between
Chicken Gumbo
Tortilla Soup
Chicken Vegetable Soup.

My body says: Feed me Hummus! Feed me Hummus! So hummis it will be with maybe sliced up jicama and fresh pico de gallo. I usually use green bell peppers so that my pico is more on the relish side of heat.
Still thinking good time to try out flan. But will depend on willingness level to make special effort. Feeling comfortable at home with slightly cooler weather.

Thanks for stopping by my old thread, Cynda. This will be a light participation RAT for me, since I have an eye issue at the moment. I will try to stop in and see how you're doing. I echo Coraline is a great choice and The Book of Tea is lovely!
Thanks Susy, Kate, Susan, and Ann A for stopping by.
I have been going to physical therapy for small eye issue and minor balance issue. Fortunately I am progressing fast, and hope to read more easily than I usually do. . . . I wish you such easy recovery, Ann.

What’s this eye issue thing going around? I mean, I’ve been struggling with my left eye for over a year now (after having shoved my nail into my eye forcefully)
What? you too! Some of us have to retain our eyesight!
My eyes are out of whack with my brain--caused by a long ago infection. So have to train brain and eyes to track together.
And my balance is off. Happens as we go through life and as we age. So working on that too. Kinda goes with eyes and brain.
Very easy to fix at physical therapist and with exercises. Six weeks and done.
Now Susy . . . . be thou careful with thy eyes!
