Food Plan Spring 2020
🌟🌠🌟By Decree: Cynda can eat sugar and grains twice a year when participating in Dewey's Readathon🌟🌠🌟
My meals will be healthy and seasonal.
And my snacks are decidedly unhealthy and irrespective of seasons.
I am making a box of Duncan Hines brownies with California Walnuts into which I will add a 1/2 cup or more of bananas.
I have had a tradition of a nice frozen pizza. Starting now my new food tradition: One time I have baked goods, and the next time I have a pizza. Changes can be very very good. I trust this one will be.

I can totally relate to this! Good luck, Cynda :)

Thanks for stopping by ladies 🌻 I will read now for 1.5 hours until my turm to make my co-moderator post. I see co-mods today are thinking a little past the usual. Nice. I hope to too. Maybe see you there at my co-mod post .
Second half of readathon. I am switching to smaller books so I can have some sense of accomplishment in having read two or three small books.
I am planning to read
Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl
Melancholy Play also by Sarah Ruhl
The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E Lee.

Cool. I saw a production of Eurydice a few years ago and was interested in how Sarah Ruhl put a modern spin on the old myth. Good reading!

Thanks

If I were awake awake, I would be able to finish my last book in the last hour and 40 minutes. I cannot continue. Next time I will change up how I sleep. More on that in my closing comments.
Thank you all for being a part of my readathon as I am honored to have been part of yours. Goodnight no Good Morning. See you in next day or so as we wrap up.

Question 5 . The one thing I will do differently today ? I'll skip watching the covid-19 updates on T.V.

Beth wrote: "I read some short books too. I could not decide on a long book to read, so I decided to get some sleep."
Glad you were able to participate for some. I felt the whole time that I was panting after everyone, I have some fine-tuning to do it seems.

Closing Survey
1. How would you assess your reading overall? I did well by finishing 3 plays and reading from 3 books.
I finished
1. The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E Lee
2. Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl
3. Melancholy Play by Sarah Ruhl
I read from 3 others books.
So I read a lot.
2. Did you have a strategy, and if so, did you stick to it?
I had a plan to go to bed 10 hours before the readathon started so I stood a good chance of getting 8 hours' worth of sleep. I planned to take 30-minute naps and to exercise on my yoga mat as I fekt the need. Took the naps and used the yoga mat. I did not do the 8-hours of sleep. I learn from this.
Next Time.
3. What wasmyour favorite snack? I made brownies with walmuts and banana. Yummy.
4. Wanna volunteer for our next event? Stay posted to our Recap Post.
I volunteered this time to lead a co-moderator thread and enjoyed it.
I will sign up again.
I filled out the Recap Post on the Dewey's homepage.
I signed off with all those I socialized with.
Now time for writing reviews. . . .
Enjoyed It.
We will do it again.

Haha. I think a better option for me to try is banana with peanut butter (or any nut butter) when making fudge like brownies. The flavor was nice. Might try in cake like brownies. Experiments.

Such a great idea! I don’t know that I want to read the original, but my library has the comic book version so I’m going to give that a try ;)
Ok, I didn´t know that Glass Town: The Imaginary World of the Brontës existed. I´ve always wanted to read something from Isabel Greenberg but I didn´t know about this book!

Food Plans
I am thinking cheese enchiladas with pico de gallo. I use the red enchilada sauce recipe from budgetbytes.com. So Good. (I can make other kind of enchies another time. . .)
I have bought some spearmint tea to flavor my iced tea.
As for snacks and nibbles, maybe some healthier trail mix of mostly nuts and fruits. And maybe some grapes as they are in season.
Yumminess is on it's way.
