Unfortunately, no."
Okay thank you.

This is awesome! I'm going to pencil you in for those two big Arithmancy tasks! :)

My weekend is just starting (I woke up a little less than an hour ago) - but since I already know I have AN ENTIRE DAY OFF, it is fantastic. :D

I'm currently reading Obsidio and Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Hopefully, I'll be able to finish them in few days(l have a long day in the lab tomorrow and that's usually a perfect time to listen to audiobooks:)

No worries! Thanks for letting us know! :)

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
J.K. Rowling
Series: Harry Potter
5-19-2018
320 pages
4*
Characters: Harry Potter, Hermione, Ron Weasley, Draco, Snape, Oliver, Dumbledore, Filius, Minerva, {trying to list those that we need letters for since there's so many characters}
Letters: O, S, D, R, H, F, M, P, W
Buddy Read ~ My First Post
??? Care of Magical Creatures - Feeding Habits - Eats/Drinks unicorn blood

We were able to spell two of the unforgivable curses and I plugged a couple books into Potions! We're in third place now, so we're off to an awesome start!
The green columns are all automatic and will respond as I enter new books into tasks, so we can all see what books have and have not been used.
Since there are a lot of different directions to go in, I'm going to try and prompt us in certain directions so we can focus on one class at a time and try to knock them out.
We have a pretty solid start on Care of Magical Creatures, so let's start there! If anyone has any book they're reading that could fill some of these spots - give a shout!
Right now we have a winged horse with blue/gold feathers and a lion's mane:

It lives in the mountains: The Mountain Between Us
It drinks Unicorn Blood: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
It's a XXXXX Classified Creature by the MOM: Darken the Stars
We need two more books with something on the cover that could be a physical descriptor and we need a book that describes something in the text that it uses (it could use branches to make a nest, bones for decoration, etc).

Book: Holiday in Death
Author: J.D. Robb
Series: In Death
Pages: 308
Date Read: 5/19
Rating: 4 stars
Characters: Eve Dallas, Roarke, Peabody, McNab, Nadine Furst, Charlotte Mira
Letters: H, J, R, I, E, D, R, P, M, N, F, C
Additional: Ice on cover, Lighted/decorated trees, Statue/Fountain, Flowing water

There will be more, of course, but these are the Buddy Reads I've got and some things that struck me as being useful for classes.
Additionally I should have some buddy reads for some more In Death books, once I get a little higher in the series.

I penciled Shadow of Night in for prophecies in divination, I found references to it on a search but you'll have to let us know for sure when you read it (or if anyone else has read it and can chime in, please do!).
First Lord's Fury - He has a fiery sword! I'm currently reading Shattered, which has a non-fiery sword. We could pair them for the fire-making charm! I'll pencil that in too!
The Glittering Court - This has lots of options! We could give our magical creature blue eyes or have it use flowers for decoration. We could also use as part of summoning/banishing the necklace if someone read a book where a character is not wearing a necklace. It could also be something to use in our History of Magic essay.
Curse of the Spellmans - Definitely an option for History of Magic, also for the Turquoise covers in Potions!

Yep, I have it noted. There are still plenty of Us to go, but I didn't want to start filling in unless we could do another full word. :)

Yep, I have ..."
That makes sense. :)

I'm not sure why I thought I was reading Shattered though, darn one-word titles that start with the same letter. :x
I'm reading Dark Queen now, I started it last night and I forgot how much I love these characters.

I'm not sure why I thought I was reading Shattered though, darn one-word ..."
Lol! :)

Jen - I checked with the mods on this one just to be safe and unfortunately unless we can find a verified word count for this specific book we won't be able to use it. I did some searching but wasn't able to turn anything up. Sorry! :(

Book: Working for Bigfoot
Additional: Can we do something with that footprint? For a summoning/Banishing charm with a book with a foot on the cover?"
I think we could use it for a Banishing charm with a bare foot on the first book. Summoning would be a stretch because there wouldn't be a footprint before you summoned a foot! ;)

I don't know if we can use this for DADA, only because the Dark Art needs to be something in the book and not just in the title.
Plenty of other options though - just kind of going through and responding so people have an idea of what we are/aren't looking for! :)

No worries Jen, thanks for taking the time to check in though! :D

For the record, we don't have to stick 100% with TinEye on this one, as long as it looks good to the eye. But I agree that this is too purpley to be indigo.

Someone posted

Here's a few from my books that I think would count, a lot of these showed as Midnight Express (Blue) or Cherry Pie (Violet) on TinEye:

No worries! I totally understand the reading slump. May has been a slowwwww reading month for me. :(
