Book Reading : Of Blood and BoneBook Trying to Finish : The Splendid and the Vile: A Saga of Churchill, Family, and Defiance During the Blitz
Listening to : The Valley
Kindle : Running Barefoot
Just finished.... The Art Collector's Daughter... great twist at the end!Starting...The Only Woman in the Room
On audio...The Fifth Avenue Story Society
I just finished reading 636: A Path to higher consciousness by Vera Skye. Personally I found this book spoke to me. It wasn't too lengthy and hit on topics I have often wondered about. There are also tips on finding out what your dreams can mean. I love short interesting books while I am busy writing my own. It gives my mind a break and I can get right back to writing. #IRISHBONES
I just finished The Nickel Man by Colson Whitehead. I would really recommend this book. There is so much to think about and it is excellently written. Very emotional. I started The Tatooist of Auschwitz and then will read Cilka’s Journey, by Heather Morris. I have been meaning to read these for a long time.
I also started Ruth Bader Ginsburg, by Jane Sherron DevHart. So, very sad she passed away. I really am interested in her life story.
For banned book week, plan to read Beloved and The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison. Possibly, Lolita if I can fit it in.
It’s going to be a busy couple of weeks, but always prefer to have too many books I want to read then stuck finding a new one.
Happy Reading 📖
Audiobook: Shelter Mountain by Robyn Carr(Book 2 of Virgin River series...I just finished the first one)
I also just listened to the Out of Line Amazon series of short stories about "women on the verge of a breakthrough"
On my nightstand: Same Beach, Next Year by Dorothea Benton Frank (Love her books)
Kindle: The Extraditionist by Todd Merer
What I've ACTUALLY been reading a lot of lately:
Kids books to my nephew, started reading Halloween books today. Also been catching up on my stacks of magazines.
I plan on starting "Get A Life, Chloe Brown" tonight and I finished Untamed last night. That book is absolutely riveting.
I'm continuing to work my way through, albeit not in chronological order, the Daniel Silva series. About a quarter of the way through "Portrait of a Spy."Is it acceptable for me to announce here the launch of my second book, "Stormie's Heart?" It's the sequel to "Stormie's Joy, and is written in the same format: short, independent-of-each-other stories of my experiences with animals—those I've owned, those I've met in the wild, and those for whom I've cared while their owners are away. These last make up the bulk of the stories.
Just started my botm pick Anxious People by Fredrik Backman. Kinda funny, making me actually laugh out loud 😂

Hi, just wondering how many of the Daniel Silva books you have read. My dad has most of this series in hardback, I believe. He usually donates to library, but they are not accepting due to Covid. My dad is in his 80’s and was just tested for Covid. He does not have it. Had shingles. Anyway, if you wanted them, and he still has them, I’d send them Media Mail to you. Just thought I’d offer. If you are a fan and he has them sitting at his house, glad to pass them on.
I listened to All Adults Here Not for me. Here’s my two star review:

I am currently in the middle of Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson. I just finished chapter 22. He does a loooooooot of world building and I think I am ready for a little more plot now. :)
Thank you for your offer, Kristine. Happy your dad doesn't have COVID. I've read most of Silva's work and have a few more at home yet to be read. On assignment now, so couldn't tell you which ones are in my to-be-read pile. But I'm an optimist at heart and believe this pandemic will run its course sooner rather than later, at which time the libraries will gladly receive donations again. I'm currently reading The Sun Down Motel by Simone St. James. Last two reads: Pretty Things by Janelle Brown and The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton.

LOVE this book as well!
currently reading Matchup, edited by Thriller genre author Lee Child. it's a collection of short stories that put two main characters of various Thriller authors together. Imagine Kathy Reich's Temperance Brennan and Lee Child's Jack Reacher working together! or Steve Berry's Cotton Malone meeting Diana Gabaldon's Jamie Fraiser( in 1755 Scotland!). The short stories are really entertaining and bring out both characters persona perfectly.

Currently reading/listening to Daughters of the Night Sky. Such an interesting story. if you have not bought or borrowed it yet, I highly suggest it. I'm already thinking of giving it 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The book of Lost Friends, by Lisa Wingate. So far, it’s a really good story. Reading Beloved and The Bluest Eye. A reread from about 30 yrs ago.
I just ordered Where the Crawdad’s Sing, Delia Owens. Glad to hear another person just recommended it. Have heard many positive things. Can’t wait for it to come in.

WTCS in my opinion will become a classic. It's just breathtaking!
I'm currently reading Credence by Penelope Douglas and I think it's hugely overlooked. Check it out if you can.
