Kayla wrote: "Hey guys? I started reading the bookish life of Nina hill. Has anyone read it? What are your thoughts? I chose this one because it reminded me of Eleanor oliphant is completely fine."Kayla, I have and it's a charming book. Nina isn't as snarky or damaged as Eleanor but the story is sweet. I think as a book reader, you will appreciate her.

I am reading Woman in the Window, I bought the book a while ago but writing took over tbh! So finally now the book is done I am catching up on my pile of unread books!
theindianreadingduo wrote: "Skketch. Let me know your feedback on Henna Artist. I'll try bookish life of Nina Hill. Do you have kindle version?"No I don't theindianreadingduo. I got my copy from my local library. I'll be happy to share my thoughts about The Henna Artist with you when I finish. I'm at a point in the story which to me was a predictable outcome but also bittersweet.
Linda wrote: "Whisper Man by Alex North. A lot of creepiness but is a pretty good story."So good!! Creepy is the word to describe it. One of my favorites in the thriller genre.

Me too. I thought maybe the channel monitor would regulate these posts more.
The Peregrine by J.A. Baker. Wonderful nature book about falcons and all wild life. Beautifully written. One to savor because of the poetic descriptions.

also reading Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

Just finished The Ones We Choose by Julie Clark: meh, haven't worked on review yetStarting on audio: The Whisper Network by Chandler Baker: not sure where its going just yet... stay tuned
Begun reading Honeysuckle Season by Mary Ellen Taylor
skketch, The Whisper Network is good. The way the narration is done is hard at first but worth the read
The House in the Cerulean Sea. So far so good! I'm getting Harry Potter vibes and love the main character, Linus. :)
In Five Years is a good read indeed, currently reading The Last Story of Mina Lee and its sooooo very, very good!
Laura wrote: "skketch, The Whisper Network is good. The way the narration is done is hard at first but worth the read"I have to agree with you. What is up with that?? I have been struggling to even understand the concept of the book because of it. Anyone else feel this way?
skketch, yes I had trouble with it, but I can also bunch it all up to having 2 small children making me exhausted. I did enjoy the book since it touched something that happens on a regular basis in the workplace.
Gretchen wrote: "Always curious about what everyone else is reading and enjoying. Tell us what you've checked out recently!"Read Beach Read, cuz it's still beach weather where I live. Also, it's about 2 WRITERS hahaha
I was supposed to be reading songs of achilles for a book club but Greek mythology bores me to death. I just can't seem to gain any interest in it. So instead I've decided my first book of september will be Supermarket by Bobby Hall. I got it earlier in 2020 and I guess I forgot all about it because late liat night as I was looking through my book collection I came upon it and decided I would start it today.

I find the narrator just so grating on my ears for some reason so I can't concentrate. That happened with The Shadows female narrator as well. Her voice was not soothing to my ear and so I tuned out.
