I actually went to see a movie yesterday and thought (again) that I should read the book. I guess I wasn't the only one with the same idea because the movie has been running for over a month and all the books were all loaned out from the library. But before that I should probably read the previous books about the same person, eventhough they are not really a series but his earlier experiences do play a role, and it was a good thing I was aware of them before seeing the movie.

I might finally get around to reading Vanity Fair. I remember not caring for the film when it came out, and that's kept me from picking up the book for far too long--usually classic doorstoppers are my bread and butter! (This is exactly why I try to read books first).

If you haven’t read howl’s moving castle yet, it’s the book that comes before castle in the air. And then you could do castle in the air as the second book in a series you’ve started. Me and my daughter read all three books this year, they’re so lovely! But just an FYI castle in the air is in no way related to the ghibli movie castle in the sky.

The Bourne Identity trilogy? series? Idk how many there are. I didn't realize they were books when I first watched the movies. I read The Bourne Identity a few years ago and loved it. I also saw this book on the list for set in the 80's. I don't remember it being in the 80s but then again I barely remember what I did yesterday lol. Either way I highly recommend it.

I love movies and books so this is a fun category for me. Before I read this thread I was thinking of The Lincoln Lawyer and Blood Work by Michael Connelly and Absolute Power by David Baldacci. But now I'm also adding The Exorcist, The Green Mile, and Rosemary's Baby as possibles. If I watch The Snowman with Michael Fassbender I might use it for this category AND the Nordic Noir category. Kill 2 birds with one stone.
