I was considering re-reading that for this prompt, but I have too many TBR books to go reading something a second time!
I love the film and seem to remember this being one of the few times where the film is actually better than the book. But I read it so long ago, and have seen people say such good things about it since, that I wonder if I'm remembering it wrong. I'll be interested to see what you think.

I'm looking forward to reading it! I watched the film again last year so it's reasonably fresh in my mind.

I guess everyone has seen so many S.Holmes, Mrs.Marple and Poirot films.

Stardust
Matilda
Little Women
I'm leaning more towards Stardust atm, as I seem to be on a Gaiman binge right now lol

If anyone is watching The Mountain Between Us, definitely read the book! It's amazing.
Ohw help, the first prompt and already so many possible books!! I think that I'll be going with The Maze Runner though, I really liked the movie and I'm feeling like reading something not to heavy at the moment + my sister has the entire series in paperback which I can borrow!!

I read the book last year and it is gripping from the first chapter. I hope you enjoy reading it.

1. The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius, and Betrayal by Ben Mezrich.
2. Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw.
3. Fantastic Mr. Fox by Roald Dahl.
I reached the decision to read The Accidental Billionaires since I love The Social Network so much.

Otherwise I’m going to try and think back over the films I’ve seen recently (not many) and see if any were books I’ve not yet read.

Out of Africa
The Remains of the Day
Sophie's Choice
A Room with a View
Babette's Feast

I think I'll go with Jurassic Park!

Anything by James M. Cain

I haven't decided though! It's so hard. I am also thinking:
The Phantom of the Opera
The Other Boleyn Girl
No Country for Old Men
Scarface
The Zookeeper's Wife
One Shot (Jack Reacher)
Rope Burns: Stories from the Corner (Million Dollar Baby)
The Silence of the Lambs

Anything by James M. Cain"
Tommy & Tuppence are Agatha Christie. Nick & Nora Charles and Asta are in The Thin Man by Hammett. I'm quite fond of both couples.
I also really enjoyed Jurassic Park!

Im not a big reader of action/spy novels, so this will be a new genre for me.

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children
Atonement

Atonement"
Miss Peregrine’s is the one I’m doing too! It’s also the first book I’m reading this’s year 😁

I'm going to either read Ross Poldark (although it was adapted into a BBC series, not a film) or Twelve Years a Slave. Perhaps I'll be able to get my hands on The Last Unicorn at some point this year, too.

That said this book is very powerful, such emotive and descriptive language. I would recommend it, it is a tear jerker of love, loss, and the human condition. I gave it 5 stars.
I have decided to also read The Martian by Andy Weir for this prompt because why not?
Some great suggestions here like Hidden Figures, which I have not read but would like to, and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, which I have read many times over.
Apologies as I am on the app, which apparently can’t link books.
