It's a very old Mercedes. The chances of damage from any sort of collision with a human are minimal.

Serendipity in action.
We did go to Costco, and my first shopping trip of the year went well, I ignored the cat food bargains, only bought 3 things from Costco, 2 because my neighbour asked if I'd buy them for tea tonight, and then we nipped into Morrisons, I wanted 1 thing and only came home with 2. Foot is throbbing today though, and cold is worse, so am going to try having a lazy day, although the builder is hopefully coming, so I will need to go and get some money if he doesHope your thumb isn't too sore today Will

Morning.My aunt shut her thumb in the car door and collapsed, caused her all sorts of bother. Not sure if there was an underlying issue or what but she wasn't allowed to look after my nephew for a while due to the risk of blacking out. Glad that didn't happen to you Will! I hope it isn't too sore today.

Morning, each. We went for a walk through the village to the post office. Resultion to get out every day. Problem is, I love being in! Came home with a paper for Himself so he'll be occupied with that for an hour or two.Sister coming for tea tonight. What larks!
Really hard frost here last night. The fences are still white now (instead of dark brown) and the car covered in frost too, despite being in what passes for the sun.Things you can't do with a terribly sore right thumb: fasten zips and coat/trouser buttons... open stiff outside taps to refill water butts for the rescue horses...

Well, didn't get a lazy day in the end, neighbour noticed on Facebook that a café we like have a new menu so we went there for lunch, then did a couple of errands on the way back. Had taken a parcel in for ratty neighbour that I had to give her, she was very grateful at being saved a trip to the post office! Now chilling for the evening, still full from lunch so not sure what we will do for tea, luckily the food we bought yesterday is OK till tomorrow!
I'm too embarrassed, really. We had a power cut over new year and I rolled out of bed to reach the torch I leave under my bedside table, and squeezed my ribs.See. Embarrassing, or what? Don't half bloody hurt.

Had a great time at Bridge class last night. Played one hand and put down the fourth from top card in the suit. The tutor congratulated me for good play! Unfortunately, my partner didn't get the meaning of the message I was sending, that I had the king. The other two players both shouted "he has the King". Ah well. After the game I explained the meaning of the message. She'll remember next time.

Well, the shopping trip went well and barely came back with anything that wasn't on the list, we then went for a walk, called in the local co-op, I decided the best way to avoid buying things I didn't need was to not take my purse! Good idea as I'd have come home with a book. Just got the washing, cooking and washing up to do yet, might leave some till tomorrow! Have never played bridge, hope your partner remembers that move next time!

On my first cruise there was a Bridge class. I hadn't played since college days but I went. I was partnered with someone who played 3 times a week. Fancy him getting me... We played against a couple who regularly played. My partner was so exasperated with me that he steamed, muttered, swore, grumbled and so on. "One more," he said.I was dealt all Spades except for one and it included a run down from the Ace.
Sometimes life deals you the last laugh.
I love it when something happens and you think "If I put that in a novel I'd be accused to being too fanciful" :-)
Very nice Anna. You're right, of course, Jim. You'd never get away with it. Sometimes outrageous wins though.
