I'm only asking 5 cents for it.

Good luck sofa hunting!

Seems a tad extreme!

Sounds painful! I hope no damage was done. To your thumb either...

It's a very old Mercedes. The chances of damage from any sort of collision with a human are minimal.

Geoff has the nail on the head, so to speak. All 3 are an interesting shade of darkish blue.
Serendipity in action.

Hope your thumb isn't too sore today Will

I'm trying to chase down an artist who is supposed to be giving a talk for the art group on Monday, I know she's read the message I sent her last week checking she was still up for it - no reply... Just rude really, it's now too late to arrange an alternative if she can't do it

My aunt shut her thumb in the car door and collapsed, caused her all sorts of bother. Not sure if there was an underlying issue or what but she wasn't allowed to look after my nephew for a while due to the risk of blacking out. Glad that didn't happen to you Will! I hope it isn't too sore today.
Fingers crossed she doesn't let you down Rosemary.
Desley, that must be some kind of super power to be going in for 1 thing and to not only come out with very little extra but to also come out with what you went in for in the first place!
Hi Geoff!

Sorry you didn't sleep well Benjamin

Sister coming for tea tonight. What larks!

Things you can't do with a terribly sore right thumb: fasten zips and coat/trouser buttons... open stiff outside taps to refill water butts for the rescue horses...

Hang on, what did you do to your ribs? Did I miss something?

I've done stuff like that many a time. I put my back out playing Minecraft a few weeks ago.

Word of the day (I came across it on twitter)
"tsundoku" - the act or art of acquiring more books than one will ever actually read, such that they gather in stacks & flocks on shelves and floors (Japanese, 積ん読, lit. "pile up-read")
I like the idea of flocks of books

You don't need to play Minecraft Jim, you do a lot of it in real life already.
Maybe not the diamond mining bit...

Interesting way to hurt yourself Geoff! Love t he word R, and I also like the idea of flocks of books

It's true, blood diamonds are not a major part of the rural economy here in Cumbria ;-)

Glad to hear it :)
Although the Minecraft diamonds tend to involve lava rather than blood.

Think our decs are coming down today. There aren't many. Mainly on the tree which will go back in the garden in its pot.

Maybe I'll have to change my profile pic to a bright red danger sign!

Not just your profile picture. Also your front door.

I hope everyone is good.
Had a great time at Bridge class last night. Played one hand and put down the fourth from top card in the suit. The tutor congratulated me for good play! Unfortunately, my partner didn't get the meaning of the message I was sending, that I had the king. The other two players both shouted "he has the King". Ah well. After the game I explained the meaning of the message. She'll remember next time.

The barbed wire and attack dogs get the message through already.

Was reading that thinking that’s some tough game of bridge!

And you thought it was sedate?

Have never played bridge, hope your partner remembers that move next time!

Having played poker and whist in the past, I was thinking that the complexity level would be about the same. How wrong I was. I haven't yet got to the point where I can calculate how much more complex the game is, as I can't see the surface. I think it gives you some indication when I say that this is the first year beginners course.

I was dealt all Spades except for one and it included a run down from the Ace.
Sometimes life deals you the last laugh.
