Yes, every year we wonder who we'll get that sort of letter back from

Apartment reno in our building and they're tearing down a building next to us.
Discordant banging from every direction.
I could scream!
On a happy note, we've finally got internet in our flat!

Sorry to hear, Mary.

Sad news Mary :( I'm going to yet another friend's funeral on Monday
Yay for your internet Patti and I commiserate with the building work racket It seems incessant around here too although there seems to be a hiatus in the renovations at the moment

The new furniture is in (it was purchased from Oak furnitureworld or furniturehouse or furniture something or other) and the old chairs have been reduced to their smallest recyclable parts and disposed of. When you take something like that apart and see what's inside (basically cardboard and wide rubber bands apparently) it makes you wonder why they cost so much.

Sorry to hear that MT, it does seem more common when you get to a certain age, shame you didn't find out in time to pay your respects. Glad you have internet now Patti

I had an appointment with the biometrics people last year and was given a pair of insoles, apparently they will stop my bunions getting worse, but not sure how, they seem very thin and flimsy compared to gel ones I've bought. He has kept me 'on the books' though, so I may go back and see him.

I have a cat in my work-in-progress and I love every minute I spend with her. Look after yourself as well as the furries, Desley.

Keep wearing them, seriously I feel so much better after starting on mine ...

So sorry about the sad news. That's crappy. No age to go at all.

Gorgeous sunrise and cool enough to have the windows open.
I think the plan for the day is going out for noodles for breakfast, then shopping.
Dave needs a new watch and he wants a wireless keyboard.

In-laws coming round for some breakfast - bacon rolls and croissants. Then I am spending the day at the laptop, and not leaving the house, at all.

Hope you enjoyed the in-laws visit Kelly, and hope next week is an easier one work wise. Lucky you Patti!

Don't watch from the middle of the field, you'll get in the way of the players!

Got the shopping done then spent the afternoon cooking and cleaning, then a nap, then dinner at the neighbours'.
I've left Dave there. I need some quiet alone time to get my brain ready for the week ahead.

It's lovely to have a day when you feel you've accomplished loads. I'm not having one of those days!

Back tomorrow when I can string a few words together.

Plenty of bacon, Patti, in case you're looking for a place to retire.

Cheers
MTM

On Saturday I managed to walk 5 miles and got home dry (although the dog was muddy). Yesterday was continual rain and very windy so the most exercise was a quick 10 minutes between heavy rain and then walked home after getting mum settled for the night.
I did a bit of reading and then got mum to help with some pie making.

But tiring!

Decided on my New Year's resolution - to finish every cup of coffee before it has gone cold :)

I drank a cold cup of tea at work today.
Was a long day which finished with a meeting that should have been an email.
I may have some chocolate for pudding.

Hope you have recovered today Kath! Sounds like a nice productive weekend MT. Good luck with the resolution R. Hate when you have to have a meeting for something that could be done in an e-mail

But you know you should all make sure you have an up-to-date one :o)

Going to do a bit of gentle editing but I don't promise I won't have a kip after lunch.

Sorry you weren't well yesterday Kath, I think you may need a kip after lunch.

I got the new Stephen King a couple of days ago.
I need a nice big bucket of time so I can read it.

Get well soon, Kath!

Thank goodness you slept better, Desley.
Felt a little bit not quite myself yesterday - I blame the weather.

Didn't you have recent contact with little ones? They're adorable - and often a source of raging infections. Poor tykes.
