Georgette Heyer is the author of the month here in July. She passed away in July, 1974 at the age of 72. She was the “Mother of Regency Romance” since she was the first author to ever write books where the Regency was actually more than a vague setting. She used the time period almost as another character. So, for your special challenge this month—read a book where the Regency period is a part of the plot. Either the setting is Regency, one of the characters was born/lived then or is a teacher/writer who specializes in that time period.
