This is the final novel in the series involving George Smiley. It is narrated by Peter Guillam, longtime foot soldier and loyal adjunct. If you've read The Spy Who Came in from the Cold, then this is not one to miss.

Stuti | 14 comments The last book I read was We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie . I liked the book and it was only 52 pages so it was a quick read. I have always liked Adichie as both an author and an activist. I gave the book 5 stars and would have written a very adoring review. However, I read in a couple reviews that she was transphobic and said that trans women don't deserve the same rights as cis women. Therefore, now I have mixed feelings about the author and don't know if I should read more of her works.

Danielle | 1 comments I just finished The Quiet American by Greene. I appreciated the historical perspective of the events that led up to the Vietnam war. It was also an indictment of American imperialism. I think it would have been more enjoyable if I hadn't read The Third Man first, because the plot is very similar.

Interesting. After reading 11 John le Carré novels, I plan on moving onto 3 books by Graham Greene and reading them in chronological publication order. I'll be sure to space them out and maybe with ca different order.

Oh wow! I tried to do this and now I have trust issues. Listening to an audiobook while reading the hard copy has hurt something inside of me. The culprit is World War Z by Max Brooks. Girl I thought I was going nuts because this 12+ hour audiobook w/crazy production value skips whole paragraphs. I wasnt prepared for that and its completely put me off the story. I mean really. What kinda fixed parlor game are these ppl playing? Has that ever happened to you? How did you get back into the story after discovery? I feel confused and a bit deceived.
