Crown of Midnight and hopefully The Lies of Locke Lamora so I can participate in the group read this month.
The Shadow Rising (The Wheel of Time #4) by Robert Jordan... and probably just that, the book is magnificently huge!
I'm finishing Lu's The Prodigy, and I'll be reading Victoria Aveyard's Red Queen and A.G.Riddle's Departure, and I'm hoping to finish the month with halfway read Veronica Roth's Carve the Mark.
Right in the middle of my Dune re-read and then going to read the latest Lightbringer book. After that I'll probably get back to the Dresden Files
I've started reading The Gathering Storm last monday and really enjoying it right from the start. I'll be taking a break around the 20th to start reading (and discussing) The Lies of Locke Lamora.
This is a pretty inpressive month for the Books I’m Eagerly Anticipating.
Luna- Wolf Moon by Ian McDonald
New York 2140 by Kim Stanley Robinson
The Collapsing Empire by John Scalzi
That should keep me going into April.
And for those in US who insist on dead-tree books, you can finally read A Closed and Common Orbit by Becky Chambers

Just finished A Plague of Swords . This is the 4th book in the Traitor Son cycle, and I liked it better than the third book. It was a more focused, more tightly written book. Now I'm reading The Handmaid's Tale
I have so many books planned. Still trying to finish Minority Report anthology. Will start Retribution Falls and The Hundred Thousand Kingdom soon. And this month there will be the second Luna book and McClellan's Sins of Empire (both I have been waiting so eagerly)
Last month I read:- Lock In
by John Scalzi - 3 stars - here's my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...- The Year's Best Science Fiction & Fantasy 2015 Edition
edited by Rich Horton - I gave it 2 stars - here's my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...- The Circle
by Dave Eggers - I gave it 4 stars - here's my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...- The Handmaid's Tale
by Margaret Atwood - I gave it 4 stars - here's my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...Right now, I'm working on:
- The Collected Stories of Philip K. Dick 4: The Minority Report
by Philip K. Dick- Rama II
by Arthur C. Clarke- A Dance with Dragons
by George R.R. MartinAnd some non-SF/F books:
- The Finest Hours: The True Story of the U.S. Coast Guard's Most Daring Sea Rescue by Michael Tougias
- The Long Home by William Gay
- Killing Floor by Lee Child
- Go Girl!: Raising Healthy, Confident and Successful Girls Through Sports by Hannah Storm and Mark Jenkins
Just started The Collected Stories of Philip K. Dick 4: The Minority Report for the group read. I've read a number of PKD novels, but the short stories are mostly new to me. I thought "Autofac" got the collection off to a great start. Not sure if I'll try to read the volume straight through or switch to a novel for "main course" reading interspersed with short story sides & snacks.
Currently working through:
Soon I plan on starting:
I had made some headway on Revelation Space before putting it on hold in favor of Golden Son. Both titles are amazing and since I'm a sucker for well-constructed worlds, I ultimately had to flip a coin to decide which to finish first. Looking forward to getting back to it.

Finished reading the third book in David Eddings' Mallorean (Demon Lord of Karanda). Must admit that tracking these omnibuses as a single book is making me fall behind in my reading goals (in this case three books count as one) but I figure I'll be reading some short stories and will catch up later.Starting on The Handmaid's Tale for the group read. Wasn't really in the mood to return to another depressing read but it is a classic, and, well, I'm a Canadian who has never read Atwood before so I figured that should be remedied as soon as possible. I'm about 45 pages so far and must admit it has my interest.
The beginning of this month I'm finishing up The Dagger and the Coin series. I'm well into The Spider's War and imagine I'll be finishing over the next couple of days. Once I'm done with that I'm thinking I'll be moving on to Memory of Water.
Saw that The Lies of Locke Lamora is one of the group reads this month! I bought that a month or two ago and have been wanting to read it, and since I just saw that it's on the reading list for March, I'm gonna make an effort to read that at some point this month too.

Technically, I could say I'm still in the middle of
. To say that I have been reading it in March would thus far be stretching the truth. I just began a new job on Tuesday, and have been so physically and mentally exhausted by the time I get home that I literally have not read a single word in the book during the month of March. That changes tonight.

Gary wrote: "Andrea wrote: "Finished reading the third book in David Eddings' Mallorean (Demon Lord of Karanda). And Goodreads tracks an approximate page count of your reading too (though it depends on the quality of the stats on the site, one book about 300+ pages long was listed as being only 10, heh).
I finished rereading the Belgariad last year. I will move on to the Mallorean at some point. Now if I could just find the box I packed my Eddings HCs in when I moved in January.
G33z3r wrote: "Time marches on... what are you reading this month?"I just finished the series, Legends of Muriwood and Covenant of Muriwood, by Jeff Wheeler. I am currently reading the The Kingfountain Series by Jeff Wheeler.
Finished The Lions of Al-Rassan, am now reading The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima. It's a struggle.
Enjoying The Minority Report and Other Classic Stories By Philip K. Dick. I think I need to read more PKD after this.Halfway through The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms. Quite enjoyable but it is not The Fifth Season.

I love that series! Daniel Abraham is amazing. I think he'll be my go-to ASOIAF writer if George want to expand his universe and need some partner to write.
Newest Mercy Thompson book is coming tomorrow, will probably stop my re-reading of Dune to rip through that one, usually takes a few days Silence Fallen.I also received Worldshaker last week, which is the conclusion to a fairly good trilogy.
Then I really need to read The Blood Mirror, even though I'm still annoyed that this isn't the final book...
Finished The Handmaid's Tale. I'd heard that Atwood was boring and stuffy but I didn't find that at all. Considering it was literary, and depressing, I actually had no problems reading 50 pages in one sitting, and over 100 pages a day. Enjoyed it far more than I thought I would (and was more freaked out by what the future holds than I thought too...)Figured that while the weather is still kind of dark and dreary out there I'll finish off the Passage trilogy with The City of Mirrors by Justin Cronin. The previous book just got interesting so let's see if the momentum continues into the conclusion.

I'm just starting that series, with The Dragon's Path. So far, I'm liking it. (Probably not a surprise; I've liked everything Abraham has written as Corey or Hanover, so it's about time I tried a book he wrote with his real name.

I've been reading for some days The wood beyond the world by William Morris, but It's been difficult, English is not my native language, and the vocabulary and form is written... well, really I'm not familiar with it, so I hope to finish during this month and get what this books is really about, without missing too much with so many dictionary consults.
G33z3r wrote: "I'm just starting that series, with The Dragon's Path. So far, I'm liking it. (P..."Nice! For me it was the first I've ever read of Abraham, but after loving this series so much, I definitely want to explore more of his stuff. The Expanse is on my list, but I was thinking before that to check out The Long Price Quartet series. Have you read that one?
Anyway, I'm currently reading Memory of Water and really liking it so far.
Shaitarn wrote: "Just about to start The Ladies of Mandrigyn by Barbara Hambly."Wow! That's a blast from the past. It's still on my shelves, but I haven't read it in years. I don't even know if it's on my Goodreads shelves. Off to take a look. Thanks for the reminder!
Just moved
The Best Science Fiction and Fantasy of the Year, Volume 1 by Jonathan Strahan onto my currently reading shelf.
Finished: The Lies of Locke Lamora, which I had mixed feelings about. I thought it did some things really well, but also glaring problems.
The Shadowed Sun, a strong follow-up to The Killing Moon. This was quite a good duology, and they came as a package deal ebook.
Old Man's War which was... fine, i guess? The story didn't seem to know if it was going to be a satire or play the military tropes straight. Pretty much persuaded me that I hadn't been missing anything special in waiting to read this.
Currently reading Seven Surrenders, one of the books i'd most been looking forward to this year.
Updating my reads for this month, since a book I ordered finally arrived :)The Shadow Rising (The Wheel of Time #4) by Robert Jordan
The Art of Magic The Gathering: Kaladesh by James Wyatt
Now this is a series I can't recommend enough for fantasy fans. The books are loaded with astonishing artwork and lore/worldbuilding from the settings featured in the card game (which I ironically don't play much).
Ps.: sorry for the lack of links, but the app doesn't have that option
Loouiz wrote: "The Art of Magic The Gathering: Kaladesh by James Wyatt"I play the game occasionally now, but I found the worlds they made fascinating and would read about them before i ever learned the rules of the game.
I just reread The Invisible Man by H.G. Wells with a group & it was well worth the time. I found the second half of the book far more enjoyable than the first. It's a pretty depressing story all told, but a great foundation for the genre. I gave it a 3 star review here:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Just finished Morning Star, last book in the Red Rising series. Moving on now to Babylon's Ashes, 6th book in the Expanse series. Hope watching the series and reading the book at the same time doesn't create an absolute mess in my head.
Little Fuzzy, Imager, & Flights: Extreme Visions of Fantasy. The last is an anthology that isn't going well.
Loouiz wrotePs.: sorry for the lack of links, but the app doesn't have that option
Try going through the browser. Even on a mobile device, it's a much better experience. There's just so much stuff I can't do with the app that I rarely use it anymore.
Ian wrote: "The Hollow Hills by Mary Stewart!" I loved The Crystal Cave, will need to return to that series some day.
I finished The Emperor's Edge Collection on my eReader, actually enjoyed it quite a bit, will probably read the rest of the series too.
So my next eBook will be The Land That Time Forgot. Saw it had already been read by this group, it's a classic, it was free, and...well it's short to make up for all the omnibuses I've been reading lately! Only a few pages in so far
Rosemary wrote: "Red Rising and re-reading The Passage."Finished Red Rising. Beautiful writing in places and starts out as a moving story, but goes downhill towards disappointing after that. Getting ready to start the third book of The Passage series, The City of Mirrors. So excited!
Finished The Ladies of Mandrigyn, so I'm onto the second Sun Wolf & Starhawk book, The Witches of Wenshar.
