Berit, I've been on a Lauren Blakely kick lately so there are a few more for you to choose from :)
I also have 2 books that work for 5 that I'm using for other challenges this week. Or 1 of them could be a reverse instead. But I have complete faith in us!

Maximum of TEN books.
Scavenger hunt character names in books. Find the FIRST name of one of the characters from our team names for 5 points each. One name per book. Each name must be different (i.e. 10 different names need to be 'hunted').
♣ Where one of our team names is a series book, you can take a character from any book within that series. For example, if you find Sirius that is ok as that is from Harry Potter (Team Ron Weasley)
♣ The name needs to be the name the character is known by. If they are known as two names in their book (Sybillia and Billie) you can find either. Where they are known as one name (Mercy, not Mercedes) you can only find the name they are known as
♣ The name needs to be in context as a proper name. So finding the word "bones" or "buttercup" in a book which is not a persons name will not count
Most of the character names that I found are from the book's character list. If you see any that don't belong or if you have any to add, please let me know.

Create a word using the first and last letter of the team names - which words you use is up to the team - but they must be at least 4 letters long.
Read one book per letter of that word for 5 points per letter.
- 4p bonus for completed words with 7 or more letters
- 2p bonus for completed words with 6 letters
You can only get points for one partially finished word, i.e. if you by the end of the month have more than 1 incomplete words, you will only get 5p/book for the first word.
Example, PYRES (Yvaine is Y,E ; Buttercup is P, Kate Daniels is S, Rose Hathaway for R). Teams can complete this task more than once by creating new words, but you can't re-use letters already used.
Normal "spell-it-out" rules apply. i.e. Letter needs to be the first letter in the book title, author first name or surname, character name or nickname, or setting. Articles (a/an/the) can be ignored in the book titles. For this spell-it-out, you can also use the first letter in the series name.
**This Site is really helpful! It will give us words to use with the letters that we enter. You can scramble up to 14 letters.

Q. Would it be easier if we pick a word ahead of time and read specifically for that? Or would you rather just wing it and hope we make something of it?
Q. Would anyone like to Claim anything ahead of time? Just let me know and I'll pencil you in.

Also if we read the book for the first part can we use it for the third part where we find the name? Sorry if this was answered somewhere :-)

No, it's one or the other.

Or any of the books listed in Part 2?
We can find character names in books- Part 3
Or there's the spell out- Part 4
Does that help, haha!

I have never read Hercule Poirot, so will give me a reason too

After that I will try for a King book for 1
