Woo-hoo, go us! And looking at the points the teams are bunched together closely, meaning it wouldn't be hard to breeze past a team or two (or three, or four)! ;)

1 - C: Oliver
2 - C: Mr. Teague
3 and 6 - C: Susan Hallett

Remember to add it to your uno shelf :-)
Kazen wrote: "Eeeeep, sorry! Done. :)"No problem :-)
I also forget to put the books on that shelf and are only reminded to do it when I update the spreadsheet...

We had a good set of cards last month! We came second out of all the teams that didn't finish the mini challenge. Not too bad at all. :)
Finished One Corpse Too Many.My new (ish) audio is Someday, Someday, Maybe.

No worries :). Maybe I just keep it for April for the next possible yellow card where it might fit. ;)
Avamuc wrote: "No worries :). Maybe I just keep it for April for the next possible yellow card where it might fit. ;) "Good idea :-)
I've finished 3 books:
card 2 - character Temperance Brennan
skip - author Kathy Reichs

I was all ready to come and report a book, then realised that it won't count. :( It's 100 pages. From the rules: "Books must be more than 100 pages in length..."
Must be more careful in future - at least it's the beginning of the month and there's plenty of time left. Sigh.

Gah, that's so annoying! Was the book good at least? :-)
Kazen, I really enjoyed Passing Strange. Not quite five stars for me (but I'm notoriously hesitant at giving 5 stars)
I think my next few books will be:
card 1 - character Oliver Bodenstein
card 3 - #3 in series
card 5 - title I (ignore the)
card 7 - character Vera von Kaltensee
card 9 - author Nele Neuhaus
skip - character Pia Kirchhoff
card 2 - #2 in series
card 5 - place Isle of Lewis
skip - author Peter May
card 2 - title T
card 3 - #3 in series
I read a bit less than usual last month, so I will try and get a few extra books read this month.
maria helena wrote: "Gah, that's so annoying! Was the book good at least? :-) It was acceptable and useful for challenges (except Uno), but not great. Ah well, I live and learn!
The annoying thing is that I had it approved as an ebook only for the SRC, and the file size is larger than the next book in the series, which has a higher page count. Go figure. :/

....and another reverse possible. The German Version of the Ice Queen is on my to read list as well for this month :). Nele Neuhaus is one of my favorite authors
Avamuc wrote: "....and another reverse possible. The German Version of the Ice Queen is on my to read list as well for this month :). Nele Neuhaus is one of my favorite authors ."Perfect! I have started it and I will try to have it finished in a couple of days, if you want to read it after that (or later) for reverse.
I haven't read anything else by Nele Neuhaus, but so far, I'm really enjoying The Ice Queen.
Just now I started reading Nebelsphäre - Das Licht des Phönix: Lübeck-Reihe 2It should work for
2: Second in Series
3: C: Jan Hendrik Meier
6: C: Sofie

She is actually one of the few authors I have not been getting tired of after reading four or five books of her crime series. I started with Snow White Must Die a few years ago which I still think is the best book of the whole series. I hope you 'll like The Ice Queen and will start it after you finished ;)
Sadly, Fatimah has had to leave the challenge because of school being very demanding this semester. We will see if there is a replacement player (for her and Drishti) - otherwise the mods will probably let us use some books from the special mod shelf like we did to cover Drishti's books last month.
maria helena wrote: "Sadly, Fatimah has had to leave the challenge because of school being very demanding this semester. "Oh, sorry to see you go, Fatimah. School comes first, of course, but still. :(
I finished Charmers and Rogues: Extraordinary Pet Tales From Ordinary Homes today. It only works for 0 (standalone).Umm - at least it's easy to pick a card for it? ;)

Ah no! Our team is dropping like flies! Hope everything goes well at school Fatimah!
I have just finished
which works for....Card 0 (Character- Zach)
Card 2 (2nd in series)
Card 6 (title - Saved Elemental)
Card 8 (character - Evie)
Skip (character - Ky)
Ashley wrote: "Ah no! Our team is dropping like flies! "I know, but luckily, we have a great team so I'm sure we can get this month's cards done anyway. We have already finished 13 books - only 72 more needed! Also, we have 3 more days this month than in February :-)
(We are not alone, several other teams have lost a few members too.)
hey Ron Weasley!! I'm Christina, co-captain of Hercule Poirot, and I've been meaning to drop by, but MH was quicker ;) I found the status check thing for the books in the spreadsheet of Becky Bloomwood, but was told it was actually created by you guys!I tracked our Feb books/status in a comment on the first page of our thread, but putting it into the ss is so much smarter of course!
so, special shoutout to whoever did the functions stuff, I didn't even realize at first! so good!
and thanks for being so cool about it MH :)

eta: PS - Isn't the cover amazing? I printed it out and it lives on my wall because... ~sigh~ So perfect.

It might even be a 4.5 stars for me. Definitely one of the best books I've read this year (and surely one of the best of the year). The cover is beautiful. Printing it was a good idea. I might do the same.

thanks.
I may need to talk to my team members for understanding it properly. who should I PM?"
Hi Lil book Harpy!
Great to have you on the team. I'm sure you'll pick things up just fine.
The rules of the challenge are here:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Our spreadsheet is linked in Post 1 of this thread.
MH (maria helena) is our fabulous captain and I help out here and there.
Just let us know what you are reading and what cards it works for. For instance, it looks like The Goddess Project works for:
0 - stand alone book
1 - character Orc
2 - title begins with T
Ask away if you're still unsure, and have fun!
Spirit-Soul-Body ( Not Talking - Only Reading ) wrote: "I think it works for most hands...what should it be put?how to use "action cards" and wild??? and how to put color for card?"
That's a wonderful selection of options, thank you. Without reading the book we would never know all those character names. :)
Action cards (I'm assuming) mean the Skip and Reverse cards. Skip works the same as the number cards but using K or P as the letter (looks like you already know that), and Reverse is for any book that a team member has already read. It can have been read at any time, not just during Uno.
Wild cards are any card that also works for any number card (0 - 9), and Wild Draw 4 is for any book.
I usually just update the tracking sheet, MH will assign your books to where they are most needed when they are complete.
As for the colour cards, the announcement from the Mods is here
If you have anything that you want to read that will fit any of our colour cards, just mention it when you post.
I finally finished The Monogram Murders yesterday. It seemed to take forever, and was quite a disappointment. :(
