Team Ron Weasley

My review is here: my link text
Now I am starting on Ilona Andrews' Burn for Me also for the mini challenge.

One more week to go! Countdown to when books for March Uno cards and mini challenge need to be finished.
For the regular Uno cards - we need 22 more books. We can do this!
For the mini challenge - we are almost done with part 1 to 3!
For part 4 (scrabble), we have 5 books finished already.

I read

Card 0 (standalone)
Card 2 (title - Tequila and Teabags)
Card 8 (character - Elsie)
Card 9 (character - Noah)
Scrabble letters that it can work for... (Not sure if this is the right way to go about listing them or..)

L (author - Laura Banard)
Y (location - Yorkshire)
E (character - Elsie)
M (character - Megan)

Works for mini
We might not need all of the letters. That's a lot of books to read in a week. We should try to get the biggest words possible filled in, since they get us the most points

So do I :-)
I think the most important thing is to finish the 19 books needed for the regular Uno cards (so that we get all the points there). I don't think that is impossible between all of us.
That could potentially give us 26 books for scrabble which is enough for three words with 7 letters, plus one word with 5 letters.

that's good.
Should we list each our read's characters and place, we might not post earlier during read finished-complete submission.
I made some 7 letters words.... should PM?

guess what, I found two agatha cristie and two classic plays of shakespeare...such diversion always change my mood from dystopia.

That sounds lovely! I'm hoping to do the same :-)

Every book counts! We all read at different speeds (and we all have other commitments outside the challenge) so just read what you can :-)

Better to post it here in the thread - then everyone can see what alternatives we have.

I am going to read each month agatha christie's work ...burning with anticipation..what it will bring next?

Lil Book Harpy - I think my favourite AC is And Then There Were None. The first Poirot I think you can get for free, as it's out of copyright. Maybe more of the early ones are too - worth checking out.

Lil Book Harpy - I think my favourite ..."
Thanks Sarah,
Yes , I checked all freebies for copyright...
specially with free digital libraries - they put some geographical restrictions.

My favourite Christie books are And Then There Were None, Murder at the Vicarage, The Body in the Library, and The A.B.C. Murders. Murder on the Orient Express, Five Little Pigs, and The Mirror Crack'd from Side to Side are also very good.
If anyone likes audiobooks, Dan Stevens did an absolutely excellent narration of both And Then There Were None and Murder on the Orient Express.

Thank you, Sarah. For the regular uno cards, does our Team still need a book re-read? If yes, I can do that, provided it is an AC. :)

I highly recommend: The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, featuring Poirot. It is one of the most interesting AC books, with a surprisingly controversial ending. According to Wiki: "In 2013, the British Crime Writers' Association voted it the best crime novel ever. The classic mystery scholar, H. Hayward included it in his list of the most influential crime novels ever written." :)

Haha. I love how different everyone's reading taste is. The Murder of Roger Ackroyd is one of my least favourite AC novels (although it was a long time since I read it so I might give it another chance). In general, I much prefer Miss Marple over Hercule Poirot.
Endless Night is said to be AC's own favourite, and is often said to be one of her best novels, and I really disliked it.

I was hardly able to finish Endless Night myself, I found it so frustratingly boring. :)"
Slow going and predictable!

We have our first two 7 letter words finished!
WORD 1 - HERSELF (35 + 4 points)
H - Unbelievable (Eni)
E - Murder Most Witchy (Sarah)
R - India Was One (Lil Book Harpy)
S - Filthy Beautiful Lies (Kazen)
E - Everneath (Kazen)
L - The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (Sarah)
F - The Chessmen (MH)
WORD 2 - HONESTY (35 + 4 points)
H - Blue Lightning (MH)
O - Margaritas and Murder (MH)
N - Shards of Honour (Melindam)
E - Lightning Blade (Lil Book Harpy)
S - The Case of the Horrified Heirs (Melindam)
T - The Dead Room (MH)
Y - Tequila and Tea Bags (Ashley)
We have another 8 books for scrabble finished. I will place them into words after work.
UNO CARDS UPDATE
We only need 4 more books to finish all the Uno cards! Awesome job team!
Countdown - we still have almost 4 days left. That means we could maybe get one or two more scrabble words finished.
(Remember, book you've already started but not have time to finish before the deadline can be used in April, so no books are wasted!)
