I finally finished
I started it before the mini-challenge, but we can use it for the regular cards (8 - 8 in series, and 9 - place Norfolk)
My library had
ebook available so I will reread that one :-)
practically read itself - I finished it in basically one sitting today!It's good for the four cards already listed as well as:

6 - C: Gabriel Scott

STATUS UPDATEMAIN CHALLENGE
- We have about 10 days left of February (countdown).
- We have already finished 51 books! Great job team :-)
- We need 28 more books to finish all our hands for the month
(we can totally get it done!!!)
MINI-CHALLENGE
- Part 1.1 and 1.2 (books our valentine team has read or added in February) gives the most bonus points, so those 15 books are highest priority to get done.
- Fatimah has already finished A Gathering of Shadows. We have 8 more books that works for 1.1 or 1.2 proposed:

- We also have several books already finished for the 2nd part (the random be my valentine tasks) which gives 5 bonus points each so that is really good!
Remember, any book started in February but finished in March can be used for the March hands, so don't worry if you have started a book you won't finish in the next 10 days :-)
I think we might have lost Drishti :(She hasn't posted anything since Uno started, and she hasn't answered the PMs I've sent her. Hopefully she is just busy with school and nothing serious has happened.
There are no replacement players at the moment, so the mods are letting us use 3 books from a special mod shelf (Uno Pixie) to make up for missing a player.

I think I'm just gonna pick up Scythe instead of Halfway to the Grave. Haven't been put in Bones' spreadsheet but I checked and it's shelved for UNO by Trinia. Not really in the mood for adult paranormal fantasy :/

I've finished The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. A nice trip down memory lane. :)I needed a short book for another challenge, so I also read A Veneer of Murder today.

MH and Ashley - Yes, I liked it a lot! It was like literary comfort food, and the perfect thing to read on a lazy morning. I already put a hold on the next book in the series, bwahaha.

Now that you all have the hang of the game, we are ready to turn things up a notch in March!
For those that played last year you may remember that each month we increase the number of hands. So for March you have Fourteen hands.
We have also added in an extra element for March.
As UNO number cards are coloured Blue, Green, Red and Yellow, we have added eight new cards to each team that have a colour attached. So, for example, rather than receiving card "7", you may see it says " 7 Green". This means you need to find a book that not only matches the criteria for 7, but also has a colour cover of green (the cover should be more than 50% green - use this colour extrator tool to determine colours if you are unsure).
As these are very special cards they are worth 30 points. You will find 1 of these cards in hands 2,4,6,8,10,12 and and 2 more in your last hand. Think of it as an incentive to finish all those books! :)

Wow! So I've just finished Caraval, all in one sitting. Was a truly beautiful, remarkable, enthralling and totally delcious novel! Ahhh, so many feels right now. I do love reading a good book late into the night! Anyway Caraval works for Card 1 (Book #1), Card 2 (Character: Tella/Place: Trisda), Card 6 (Character: Scarlett/Author: Stephanie). And I think you also mentioned it worked for the first part of the February Mini-Challenge. I also noticed that Caraval is the book of the month for March, so wondering if anyone will read it and therefore can qualify this book for Reverse?
Will be moving on to reading:
Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard
Which works for Card 2 (Book #2), Card 7 (Author: Victoria) and Card 9 (Place: Norta).
So will see how that goes! Hoping it's just as enthralling as Caraval! Although if its anything like Red Queen I know that I'm going to be in love with it.

PLANNING FOR MARCHWe have gotten our cards for March. There are 14 hands this time (78 books), but I'm sure we can get it done!
We have a good mixture of cards, but the ones that will require some planning are the colour cards. We need:
- 1 Green
- 4 Green
- 1 Red
- 9 Red
- 2 Yellow
- 5 Yellow
- 4 Blue
- 7 Blue
The trickiest one is for the last hand where we have two blue cards. We have two Draw 2 cards in that hand, so we need one of the following:
1) Either a blue cover that works for both 4 and 7
2) A blue cover that works for both 7 and 1, or 7 and skip
3) A blue cover that works for both 4 and 1, or 4 and skip
Edit: I have the blue 4 and blue 7 covered :-)

I've pretty much put my non-valentine books on hold until we're into March - I think we can cover 9 books with no problem.
Hopefully I will have time to get to Eleanor & Park when I've finished my current two for the mini. I will have to double check, but from memory I think I found it on Teddie's shelf (?) and it was published in Feb.

will be perfect for green 4!The other one is not blue enough but we can use it for something else. I have a book that works for both blue cards and take care of the pesky draw 2 card in that hand.
