Review:
Really good start, I just hope the next one actually comes out this year and doesn't get pushed back again. I did have the book to follow along with the pictures but both my husband and I listened to this on our drive. We both enjoyed this a lot. I think my favorite character has to be Melody she always made everything so dramatic. The only thing that bothered me a bit was that we didn't really know what or who wild chalklings were, or even what they looked like?

Review:
Most of these were pretty good I liked the one with the dream walkers who were psychopaths basically that was interesting to read I would have liked more to that one, even if it was a little dark. Of course I liked the stories involving Anita those of course are always pretty good and these two were before she got all smexy with everyone. I also liked the one about Screech the sword or dagger he is and interesting character, all he wants is a little blood that isn't bad right? lol There were a couple that didn't really hold my attention that well but that is to be expected in an anthology. Some times when I read short stories to a series they are good and I really want to read them and know more about the characters in the Anita series it isn't that way unless it is back at the beginning where she was a little more kickass. I think we may need a little more darkness in her writing like in There be Dragons Here.

The Outlaw Demon Wails by Kim Harrison
Finished: AMay 26
Rating: 4 Stars
This series has been hit and miss for me (more miss than hit), but this installment shows that Harrison is finally hitting her stride.
There are some very intriguing revelations throughout the book as Rachel learns a secret or two about her parents and about the conflict between the Elves and the Demons.
Thankfully, the angst between Ivy and Rachel, which was a huge turn-off in previous books, comes to a head here with Rachel finally making the right choices.
Looking forward to continuing with the series.

His Fairy Godfather
Rating: ★★★
Completed: 05/28
Final Thoughts:
This was a cute read. I thought Edwin was very endearing. He was just so sweet. I'm glad Trick finally came to his senses when it came to Preston and his job. Too bad it wasn't sooner!

Shadow's End by Thea Harrison
Finished: may 29
Rating: 3 Stars
Unfortunately, this installment does not live up to its potential. While the pariah Djinn storyline is gripping with excellent actions scenes and a very exciting climax, the romance is boring and bland.
Malphas is a despicable villain and his machinations throughout the series have made him a very worthy opponent to numerous couples. One of the highlights of this book is having them all come together to rid the world of his menace.
Graydon and Beluvial's romance is not as appealing. They have zero chemistry and the supposed intensity of their connection (after spending not even one full day together) is not credible or convincing. It is also impossible to accept that these two highly sexual beings remained celibate for two centuries.
All in all, bar one or two exceptions, this series has been going downhill for a while and it is time to wrap it up posthaste.

Oy!
I loved the prequel novella to this book, but all of the excellent chemistry between the leads that we had in that one fizzled in this one.
Also, Perry who has always been so self-confident and kick-ass turned into a whiny little girl here :(
On the upside, I discovered that there is a spin-off series to this one!

This one was a lot better! It might be also because I didn't have to read a prequel before this to understand where they were, and why they were where they were in their relationship. They go away to help the wolves come out into the open more and through this there were of course wolf politics going on. So one thing leads to another and chaos ensues. There is some things with Arthur and the lady in the lake that take place which was intriguing to learn about.

Final Thoughts:
This has been a cute series but this book is my favorite so far. I thought Milo was freaking adorable! Plus I love a geeky MC. Jason definitely needed a little love and affection in his life so he was lucky Milo dropped into his lap and refused to be ignored. I look forward to the next book to be published.
