I have most of mine picked out although they are subject to change. Some e-books, so little time… Trying to read the ones I already have before purchasing new ones. That doesn't usually work, though.
I filled out my list already. Since I do the Book Riot challenge too, I don't know if trying to read 49 books is realistic. So I worked on them together, trying to find two books to fit a category. I have 31 books for the two challenges total. But I am also flexible, I made lots of changes throughout 2016 and my last challenge.
I fill out my list with tentative choices, then work from that throughout the year. I often make changes based on other members' recommendations. I joined 5 challenges for 2017, for a total of 76 books; I allow double dipping between challenges but not within. 3 challenges and 55 books in 2016 did not occupy the entire year.

Okay, here's my list. I totally double-dipped, using a couple of titles (those with numbers right after the title indicate how many categories they cover, plus the "written by a woman" category) to fulfill up to four categories, with a total of 18 books. I started from the books I am currently reading, the January title for one of my book groups, and what's on my to-read list. I usually read about 100 books a year so I'm very comfortable with all this double-dipping, knowing that I will read plenty.Check out my list:

This is the first but not the only book challenge I am looking forward to doing. Even my 9 year old daughter was excited by the book challenge and wanted to get in on the fun. I found that I didn't have any problems finding books that fulfilled each criteria except #11. Which we changed the word to "funny" instead.As for me, I am having trouble finding a book to fulfill #10 set in a forest.

I have read some of Shakespeare's work but I don't remember reading this one. Might as well start now. I will be putting A Midsummer Night's Dream as part of my challenge. Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm using Uprooted by Naomi Novik for a book set in a forest, but another great choice is Lily King's Euphoria, if you haven't already read it.
Hey all, where did the food memoir get added?? I see it's on the filled out list from BWB, but it's not on the original challenge posted on the blog. I went to recopy my list onto a spreadsheet, and finally noticed there's a new #1!
I think I will fill out a preliminary list. But I am sure it will evolve, shifting books around to fill all the categories.For example, I just finished Watership Down. Fantasy, set in a forest, adapted into a movie, over 400 pages, young adult. It will only end up in one of these categories, but I dunno which one.

Anastasia, I've been late to Goodreads and the whole online booktube etc. Discovered this whole new world last year...I have apparently been hiding under a rock.....so I am slowly discovering all of the books in the recent years that I haven't read.
I do have Uprooted on my TBR. I have not read or heard of Lily King's Euphoria...will very much enjoy exploring this book in the near future. Thanks for the recommendation.

I usually tend to fill out my list as I go, but I have written down several options for a couple different categories that had me stumped (thanks to others suggestions) I am participating in several book challenges, so for that reason I like to fill in as I go. I'm also attacking my own personal library this year, so it's nice to see suggestions of books I already own for some of the challenges. Anastasia, I just finished it (The Forest of Hands and Teeth). It was very well written. A little more romance than I like but it is a YA novel so I can't fault it for that. Have you read others in the series?
