Review:
A light and fun read.
I already loved Mark from the first two books. He's just awesome and made me laugh so hard!
Maybe it was totally implausible that Mark wasn't able to recognize his feelings for Will, for what they really meant. But that's just Mark and I didn't mind because I had a good time reading this book.
It was great to meet Carter and Isaac again. Oh, and Mark's mum, she was hilarious!
My only complaint is that I would have loved to learn more about Will.

Review: Carter Reece is the new vet in town taking over Dr Fields practice along with his house calls. This is where we meet Isaac Brannigan: standoffish, rude, beautiful man. There, luckily, is more than that to Isaac. I always enjoy an N R Walker books. Fun, interesting characters make an easy read. Isaac was a bit of an ass but understandingly so for what he has dealt with in his short life. Carter was very patient. I loved Mark - the funny best friend. I'm looking forward to book #2 and I see from Caipi's book above Mark gets his own book too - yeah! More to look forward to!

Yay, I'm glad you liked it, Melissa! I hope you will love the following books as well. In book two Isaac was this stubborn ass again, but you'll get to know him better and also see a very vulnerable side of him. There were some LOL-moments, but I also cried a lot while reading this book. And in book three, well, Mark was just as awesome as he was in the first book. You gotta love him, right? ;)

Review: I enjoyed it. I usually enjoy Tara Lain's stuff. I cut a star because I found myself skimming the scenes with the council. When it starts sounding like an environmental information pamphlet I get bored. But I liked the rest of it.

Mark has no filter... really funny in a book...not sure how good that would work in RL :) I can already see that Isaac is going to be the handful in the relationship, lol.

HATEEEEEEEEEE!
I love LK. I love her books. I don't think I've ever hated one before.
I do not buy the romance in this one and it pains me! Kathleen is horrid. I just wanted someone, anyone to tell her to STFU and keep her opinion about things that have nothing to do with her to herself. Everyone keeps saying Helen is her sister. She's not. She's her sister-in-law of THREE DAYS. And this isn't even a case of a technicality and they'd known each other for years and been friends forever. Kathleen was NEW. Helen is a grown woman. Kathleen acts like she's some child who can't think for herself. It's infuriating. No wonder Helen feels so smothered. Devon was right when he told her Helen won't want to spend her life under Kathleen's thumb.
Now Devon isn't much better. He's a prickly bastard who lashes out. But I liked him more than I liked her, so yay internalized misogyny!
I loved The Twins, and West(I can't wait for his book!!!!!).
I am so much more interested and INVESTED in Helen and Winterborne already. They get a good bit of focus and set up in this book. I'm gonna need Helen to go off on Kathleen for interfering in their book though. This whole "understanding" thing is overrated. Kathleen does shitty things and gets away with it for reasons beyond me. Ugh.

I've had a few 1-2 stars that needed to be finished...so hard to continue to read, I know, when you dislike :)

Yeah I can't wait to read theirs. Also excited for book three, which I thought was West's but it's the Devil In Winter connection!!! DIW is one of my top 3 EVER.

Yeah, I hate when it's hard to finish, this one wasn't that bad in that regard. It was still okay enough to finish.

DIW is one of my faves too!

This was a light and fun read.
Denton, a necromancer, moved into a new apartment, right next door to Bran, a herbalist and witch. It didn't take long and the two were building a lovely relationship and working together as ghostbusters.
I loved the most Denton's sense of humor!

Review:
I didn't care for this, but it wasn't horrible. Nothing made me want to throw it against the wall. I just think Julian is a massively selfish ahole. Now I can enjoy someone who is a jerkface, so that's not a deal breaker generally, it just didn't work for me in this case. Bleh. I didn't know enough about Danny to really make a judgement, but what I saw I liked. I don't think he was nearly as bad as he's portrayed. Kind of think he deserves better.

Review: J D Robb, Nora Roberts alter ego still knows how to weave an interesting crime to keep the readers engaged. 35 books in and still fun to spend some time in Eve and Roarke's world. Summerset and Eve's witty and sarcastic relationship continues to evolve into something new, this book helped that along ~ each of them seeing how Roarke needs the other in his life. I've just started these recently on audio and am really enjoying Susan Erickson's narration - she does a fantastic job with all the voices.

Review:
An interesting romantic suspense book with a good mix of action and romance set in a small town. Though the suspense was not that great and the villains were made a laughing stock, I gave it 4 because there were many laugh-out instances. I liked how Annie rescued Cade the football coach (also biology teacher), when one of his players who is on the drug is giving him a hard time and advised him to take self defense lessons, not knowing that he is ex-special forces and can look after himself just fine.
Enjoyable read.

Review:
Great book for the most part. I love the world AB has built. I love Bennet and I love Flynn. They're great separately but when they are together, it about burns the pages/ereader out of your hands. The longing and depth of passion between this is amazing. My favorite quote is from when they finally reunite and get to be together "The passion didn't have to be wild and untamed to be deeply felt." That really struck me. I supposed I should mention Joss. I hate him. I felt nothing for him during Bennet's "death", his "despair" rang hollow. I'm probably being too hard on him because I love Flynn/Bennet so much, but I felt more for Flynn's quiet grief than Joss' dramatic histrionics. I loved the family interactions. The ending is not my favorite and I am really dreading book 3. I don't need Rosie/Bennet being a thing. Why can't they just be each other's friend. Why does it have to get tangled? Blerg.

Review: this third book in the series see Perry and Dex heading off to Canada to camp on Death Island one of the small islands off of Victoria Island BC where Chinese lepers were sent back in the day. This was just as creepy as the first two and probably wasn't a good idea to finish it at 2 am ;). I totally love the creepy nature of these books - well written. It's the 'romance' I can't stand and this book was no different. Dex is still a manipulative asshole (with a girlfriend at home which still doesn't stop him from doing shit with Perry) and for some reason Perry just can't get enough of him. I don't get it. Would have rated higher except for this. I will keep torturing myself though as I downloaded most of the series when it was free and I do like the ghost stories. I'm a glutton for punishment I guess....or I'm hoping either Perry or Dex will get their head out of their ass. I'd prefer Perry though - I'd love to see her get a boyfriend who is not Dex. I'm pretty sure that is not how Ms Halle is going to write it.
