I can now post my review of W. E. B. Griffin Rogue Asset
by Brian Andrews and Jeffrey Wilson. Andrews and Wilson were asked to carry on W.E.B. Griffin's Presidential Agent series. Overall, this book was an action-filled, heart-pounding thriller that is entertaining, fast-paced, and thought-provoking. The high stakes made it a page turner. My 4 star review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Dorie, I can't read the book titles on your posts (except when I reply like this). The covers are too small. Can you link the names or just type them out? I like to check reviews of books that look good when I can see what they are, and you read some great ones! 😊📚
The Incredible Winston Browne by Sean Dietrich is a warm, poignant heartstring-tugger about small town America in the 1950s. Readers will eat it up, I bet.

What a fantastic cover and what an odd book. The 1800s were full of fortune-hunters, in all senses of the word, all over the world. Fortune by Lenny Bartulin is wild historical fiction.

I finished The Starless Crown
by James Rollins. This is a change for Rollins although he did write fantasy early in his career. It's an epic fantasy. hat brings excitement, danger, and suspense to an adventurous journey that includes some unusual allies and some common enemies. With this first book in the Moon Fall series, he introduces the four main characters and does a fantastic job of building a world that is unique.

After a long hiatus, Ilona Andrews have returned to their Kinsnen series with this novella -
Fated BladesI haven't read the preceding installments which were really just short stories. There's plenty of world-building here with a Sci-fi setting instead of their usual UF.

I can now post my review of Vital Lies
by Daniel Pyne. This spy thriller is the second book in the Sentro spy thriller series. This book has a clever plot with enough twists to keep a reader guessing. A memorable opening scene immediately pulls any reader into the story. One thing that detracted from the flow of the novel was the continual jumping around in time and points of view (POV) during the first half or so of the story. While POVs continued to change later, it flowed better for me.My 3 star review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

4.5 stars - I really enjoyed this novella about a Chinese-American ICU physician in NYC. Joan is dealing with the recent death of her dad, her wealthy older brother who lives in Connecticut, her mother who arrives in the US just as the pandemic begins, her ICU colleagues, and her condo neighbor, all the while being alone and without a romantic partner.
I felt as if knew Joan personally and she discusses many of the important issues in life - marriage, kids, work, friendship, loyalty, and family with much wisdom.
Thank you NetGalley for sending me an advance copy of the book in return for this review.
