PattyMacDotComma | 1256 comments South Australian author Garry Disher's recent book Consolation is my favourite kind of writing. Perfect for place, plot, and people. This is rural Australia where crooks think they can get away with murder.

We may know who the enemy is, but with so many 'agencies' of spies today, nobody is quite sure who the bad guys are. Great read!

PamG (lynguy1) | 2510 comments Here is my review of Strength Under Fire Strength Under Fire (Silver Creek, #3) by Lindsay McKenna by Lindsay McKenna. It's the third book in the Silver Creek contemporary romantic suspense series. The writing and discussions gave me a strong sense of the Wildflower Ranch and the Silver Creek community. While it is portrayed as very idyllic and somewhat unrealistic, I wanted to believe in it and enjoyed it. It was an entertaining book that was emotionally intense at times. The author did a good job of meshing the romance and the suspense without either suffering.
