Kaity | 492 comments Hi ♎Nereta♎!! I had a lot of fun picking books for you. Hopefully you enjoy them :) Sorry there are so many firsts in a series, that was what we had in common for your tbr and what I thought you'd enjoy for new reads.

Eggs and Bacon
☕ choose a book with a character that has many friends or that is well loved; or that has been/will be/should be turned into a TV series/movie
TBR: Burn for Me - The Ilona Andrews team is one of my favorites and this book is freakin' awesome! The MC and her family will definitely stick with you.
New: Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children - I've not yet read this but all my friends are raving about it and the previews for the movie look phenomenal. Plus I adore Eva Green!!

Biscuits and Gravy

TBR: Friend-Zoned - I really enjoy these ridiculously plotted NA books...they're just so yummy
New: Until November - Here's a similar book since it looks like these might be up your alley too ;)

TBR: First Grave on the Right - I DNFed this the first time I tried reading it after only a chapter. I wasn't expecting Charley to be so silly. I have since read through the 7th book and given them all 5 stars!
New: Darkhouse - Karina Halle writes NA books in a variety of genres, this series features a duo who do a ghost hunting web show. I didn't fall in love with the series until a few books in but each book is a page turner.

Rachel C. (rachelus) | 611 comments Hi Suzanne! I got a little carried away with this one... there were so many good choices, I couldn't resist!

Eggs and Bacon
TBR: Eighth Grave After Dark (Charley is definitely well loved and she should totally be made into a TV character!)

Biscuits and Gravy
TBR: Once Bitten, Twice Shy (mostly white cover; Jaz Parks is awesome)

Diane ~Firefly~ | 1512 comments Hi Shelby,

I had fun looking through your shelves. We didn't have a ton in common, but you definitely had some of my favorites! I hope you find some good choices.

1. Eggs and Bacon: You need to finish up this series (and it is definitely a movie) Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowlings. Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder is an outstanding fantasy novel where the heroine is pulled out of jail and given the choice to die or become the new poison tester. Learning her job is extremely interesting and she makes a bunch of friends at the castle.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Harry Potter, #6) by J.K. Rowling Poison Study (Study, #1) by Maria V. Snyder

2. Biscuits and Gravy: Get into the historical spirit with Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake by Sarah MacLean. Or visit another planet where people have "talents" and see the outcome of an unintended social experiment in a classic by my favorite author, Jayne Ann Krentz - Shield's Lady

Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake (Love By Numbers, #1) by Sarah MacLean Shield's Lady (Lost Colony, #3) by Jayne Ann Krentz

3. Cold Pizza: Both these authors write multiple genres. This was my favorite YA series until her next one came out, so I highly recommend continuing on with Dark Frost by Jennifer Estep. Or check out a book that is like James Bond being dropped into a UF universe. Tons of action and great characters and a very interesting resolution with The Man With the Golden Torc by Simon R. Green

Dark Frost (Mythos Academy, #3) by Jennifer Estep The Man With the Golden Torc (Secret Histories, #1) by Simon R. Green

4. Doughnuts: Blind Faith by Rebecca Zanetti scored a 4.3 rating so it should be great (this is my next in the series as well). The MC in Semi-Charmed by Isabel Jordan definitely tries to please and help people even when overmatched. It was a surprisingly good UF book in a world where vampire hunting was outlawed as the vampires got rights.

Blind Faith (Sin Brothers, #3) by Rebecca Zanetti Semi-Charmed (Harper Hall Investigations #1) by Isabel Jordan

5. Pancakes/French Toast/Waffles: Ok, I took the easy route as these are both part of a series, but I really wanted to rec them and they didn't fit elsewhere. First up is Tempting Danger by Eileen Wilks. Love this UF series with "null" cop Lily and werewolf Rule and the dangers they face. I really like the family vibe of this series. Truly, Madly by Heather Webber is a romantic mystery with some kooky characters. The MC can find objects after her family's gift went haywire when she was young.

Tempting Danger (World of the Lupi, #1) by Eileen Wilks Truly, Madly (Lucy Valentine, #1) by Heather Webber

6. Cereal or Oatmeal: You've loved the other books in the series and I thought it jumped up quite a bit starting with this book, so you must read Magic Strikes by Ilona Andrews. A very different twist on A Wizard in King Arthur's Court when Martin finds a computer file that basically controls everything and then ends up going back to medieval times in Off to Be the Wizard by Scott Meyer

Magic Strikes (Kate Daniels, #3) by Ilona Andrews Off to Be the Wizard (Magic 2.0, #1) by Scott Meyer

7. Fresh Fruit: This sounded pretty interesting (I added it to my wishlist) - Firecracker by Charles R. Verhey. Or check out Lick by Kylie Scott where the heroine wakes up hungover and married to a Rock Star in Vegas which upsets all her future plans.

Firecracker by Charles R. Verhey Lick (Stage Dive, #1) by Kylie Scott

8. Bagels: Afterimage by Santino Hassell certainly qualifies as long with over 1000 pages. Or check out Kristen Ashley with The Gamble. Her books all have very Alpha males and some crazy situations, but they are like crack and once you pick them up, it is hard to put down.

Afterimage (In The Company of Shadows, #2) by Santino Hassell The Gamble (Colorado Mountain, #1) by Kristen Ashley

3. Cold Pizza: Own the Wind: Kristin Ashley writes both contemporary and paranormal. [TBR/Simply Romance]

4. Doughnuts: He Loves Lucy: A very sweet treat on the cover and in the book (I really enjoyed it). [New to You]

5. Pancakes/French Toast/Waffles: The Darkest Hour: I think the cover could be considered a piece of "eye candy". [TBR/Amnesia]

7. Fresh Fruit: Good: Yellow cover. [TBR/Old Crushes]

MountainKat | 31797 comments OK Pam, I guess I fibbed a bit when I said I would get your picks up last night. I got them made, but was just too fuzzy to type them up - there would have been a million typos if I tried! Some of the new books are on your shelf, but the author is still new to you. I struggled a bit with your picks, so if you want more just holler!

Eggs and Bacon
NEW: Devoted in Death by J.D. Robb - Or whichever is next, I wasn't sure if you had read all the books in the middle, but this looks to be next of the more recent books. And I would love to see this series made into a show/movie - IF they got the right actors for the parts!
TBR: Hope Smolders by Jaci Burton - Small town romance with hot brothers made into a show? Yes please!

Biscuits and Gravy
NEW: Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison - This series, especially this book, just made me happy. Total guilty pleasure and great in audio too!
TBR: Paradise Valley or The Chance by Robyn Carr - Her books are like comfort food for me, It looks like you missed these in their series.

Cold Pizza
NEW: Surrender by Pamela Clare - I put off her historical books because I loved her RS books so much, and I was hoping for audio. OMG, this book is amazing!! And so was the audio!
TBR: Do Over by Mari Carr - I didn't appear you liked the one book of hers you read, it wasn't a favorite of mine either thought I did continue the series and liked it. I do really like her writing though, she is one of the few that can write a shorter book that I don't feel is lacking. If you wanted to give her another shot, this is a good one to try!

Doughnuts
NEW: Hard as It Gets by Laura Kaye - I love this series, sweet and intense at times.
TBR: Rock Bottom by R.K. Lilley - Seems you enjoyed the first one recently!

Pancakes/French Toast/Waffles
NEW: Big Rock by Lauren Blakely - I really enjoyed this one when I listened to it! Fun story made even better by the narration! And definitely a hot cover!
TBR: Playing to Win by Jaci Burton - And speaking of hot covers...!

Cereal or Oatmeal
NEW: 72 Hours by Shannon Stacey - I've been enjoying this RS series by one of my go-to authors. Looks like you've enjoyed her stuff before too!
TBR: Sweet Little Lies by Jill Shalvis - A fun new series by an author it seems we both love!

Fresh Fruit
NEW: An American Werewolf in Hoboken by Dakota Cassidy - This reminded my of Molly Harper's style - not a bad thing in my book!
TBR: All He Ever Dreamed by Shannon Stacey - This series just takes me to my happy place!

Bagels
NEW: Forgotten Sins by Rebecca Zanetti - I really enjoyed this series, more with every book!
TBR: Truce by R.L. Mathewson - This series is so wacky! I'm so glad the audios started coming out again, I enjoy listening to them!

I hope you find at least one you like!

Suzanne (esmerelda1) | 2244 comments Hello fleurette! I hope you enjoy your picks!

Eggs and Bacon—No matter how you dish them up, eggs are a popular staple as a breakfast choice. Scramble, fried, hard/soft boiled, and so on, eggs can be turned into omelets that include cheese, veggies, and meat, or added to any number of bread options for a delicious sandwich. As their common companion, bacon (or sausage if you prefer) can add a crispy, greasy deliciousness to any great breakfast!
☕ choose a book with a character that has many friends or that is well loved; or that has been/will be/should be turned into a TV series/movie
- Many Friends/Well Loved: Perfect Scoundrels by Ally Carter
- Should be a TV Series/Movie: Magic Breaks by Ilona Andrews

Biscuits and Gravy—This good ole’ Southern-style breakfast is hardy and filling – and essentially has nothing nutritionally redemptive about it. Whether you are the ambition type who crafts this meal from scratch (kudos to you!) or pulls it together from canned biscuits and packet gravy, this breakfast choice will stick to your bones all day!
☕ choose a guilty pleasure or standalone book; or with a white cover
- Guilty Pleasure: Undead and Unpopular by MaryJanice Davidson
- Standalone Book: The Summerhouse by Jude Deveraux

Cold Pizza—Although not a personal favorite, leftover pizza straight from the fridge is a quick and handy breakfast when you are on the go! As pizza cools overnight, the sauce and cheese take on a different flavor, making this breakfast choice of champions a new and different treat the second time around!
☕ choose a book/author you gave a second chance or one your pickee should give another try; or author who writes in more than one genre (e.g., contemporary and historical; new adult and paranormal)
- Second Chance: The Color of Magic by Terry Pratchett
- Writes more than one genre: Nice Girls Don't Date Dead Men by Molly Harper (Contemporary Romance and Paranormal Romance)

Doughnuts—For those in a hurry who don’t have any cold pizza waiting in their refrigerator, doughnuts are a great choice! Whether you are a die-hard Krispy Kreme fan or love you some Dunkin’ Donuts, there is something for everyone—and you can score points when you bring a dozen (or so) into work with you! Popular doughnut flavors/types include, glazed, long john, Boston crème, sprinkles, and jelly filled.
☕ choose a book with more than 4.0 GR rating; or with a main character who is a “pleaser”; or with a sweet treat on the cover
- More than 4.0 GR Rating: High Five by Janet Evanovich
- MC is a “pleaser”: Match Me If You Can by Susan Elizabeth Phillips
- Sweet Treat on Cover: Meet Me at the Cupcake Café by Jenny Colgan

Pancakes/French Toast/Waffles—One of the yummiest groupings of breakfast choices, pancakes, French toast, or waffles are a great way to get up and go in the mornings! All three treats can be dressed to the nines with fruits or chocolate, or simply with butter and maple syrup. In addition to dressing the golden outside, fruits or chocolate chips can be added to the batter so every bite is over-the-top delicious!
☕ choose a book with a yummy piece of eye candy on the cover or people are dressed up (formal wear) on the cover; or is part of a series
- Eye Candy: Lover Unleashed by J.R. Ward
- People Dressed Up: Tempt Me at Twilight by Lisa Kleypas
- Part of a Series: Never Judge a Lady by Her Cover by Sarah MacLean

Cereal or Oatmeal—As an old favorite, cereal is one breakfast food you can do super healthy or so not! Popular cereal choices you can indulge in include Cheerios, Special K, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, or Mini Wheats. Another old favorite, oatmeal is a great way to wake up on a cold day. While often considered a boring standby, oatmeal is easily spiced up with sugar, syrup, or fruit.
☕ choose a book with a bunch of colors or crazy patterns on the cover; or a “standby” book you love/book by an author your pickee has rated highly
- Crazy Colors/Patterns on Cover: Yes Please by Amy Poehler *New*
- Standy By Book I Love or Pickee Loves: Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen *New*

Fresh Fruit—In the morning, fruit is easily digestible and an efficient source of energy for the day! Additionally, fruit can be cut up and added to other breakfast favorites, including oatmeal, cereal, pancakes, and waffles. Popular breakfast fruits include mango, apples, bananas, berries, grapefruit, and oranges.
☕ choose a lighthearted/easy book; or book from a series that is an offshoot of another series or that has characters that overlap series’; or with an orange, red, yellow, or green cover
- Lighthearted/Easy Book: The Sugar Queen by Sarah Addison Allen *New*
- Offshoot series: Eternal Kiss of Darkness by Jeaniene Frost
- Orange, Yellow, Red, Green Cover: Killjoy by Julie Garwood

Bagels—The thickest, heaviest form of breakfast toast, bagels make a wonderful, satisfying breakfast that will fill you up and keep you going through your busy morning. Bagels offer savory choices, as well as sweet ones, for whatever mood you are in.
☕ choose a long (thick) book; or with main characters that are complete opposites of each other
- LONG BOOK: Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness
- MC that are complete opposites: Attachments by Rainbow Rowell *New*

Perfect Scoundrels (Heist Society, #3) by Ally Carter Magic Breaks (Kate Daniels, #7) by Ilona Andrews Undead and Unpopular (Undead, #5) by MaryJanice Davidson The Summerhouse by Jude Deveraux The Color of Magic (Discworld, #1; Rincewind #1) by Terry Pratchett Nice Girls Don't Date Dead Men (Jane Jameson, #2) by Molly Harper High Five (Stephanie Plum, #5) by Janet Evanovich Match Me If You Can (Chicago Stars, #6) by Susan Elizabeth Phillips Meet Me at the Cupcake Café (At the Cupcake Café, #1) by Jenny Colgan Lover Unleashed (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #9) by J.R.
