I chose New York City. The book I chose was GIRL THROUGH GLASS by Sari Wilson.
Girl Through Glass
The story is set in the late 1970s and is about Mira, a young ballet student who is accepted into Mr Balenchine's School of American Ballet which is affiliated with the New York City Ballet. Although there are several scenes of Mira as an adult in Ohio, the main part of the book is about Mira growing up in NYC and her experiences as a young dancer.
