- because we all need some Clay in our lifes, we need to know how it all started.L.

Don't forget y'all ~ there's specific books you should be recommending. Going to delete the posts not following the guidelines. Sorry!! One of the other days will be random recommendations (maybe). :D**Day 1 Recommendations**
Recommend 6 books, one each that the TITLE starts with the letters ~ W, O, B, B, L, E
With 2,000+ books on my TBR I really don't need more, but books!Anyway recommendations:
W: Wonder by R.J. Palacio (not really a series, but a book I think everyone should read)
O: Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout (I've enjoyed this series so far)
B: Bloodlines series (read Vampire Academy first) Bloodlines Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
B: Blood Debt by Nancy Straight (I had no expectations going into this book, but I highly enjoyed it)
L: Louisiana Longshot by Jana Deleon (fun start to a cozy series)
E: An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
**Day 1 Recommendations**
W: The Wishing Spell by Chris Colfer - Great re-interpretation of classic fairy tale characters.
O: Out by Natsuo Kirino - Amazing and terrifying thriller set in Japan.
B: Burial Rites by Hannah Kent - Historical fiction set in Iceland.
B: The Bone Yard by Jefferson Bass - Mystery featuring a forensic anthropologist
L : The Likeness by Tana French - Crime novel set in Ireland
E: The Escape by David Baldacci - Fast paced spy thriller
Hmmm. . .W = Witchling by Yasmine Galenorn (Sort of Urban Fastasy (esp. in this first book) with a smattering of Paranormal Romance. I love it!)
O = Ocean at the End of the Lane, The by Neil Gaiman (I'm not sure how popular or not this book is, but it was a short, quick read and really good. It's a great way to introduce yourself to NG's writing.)
B = Blood in Her Veins: Nineteen Stories from the World of Jane Y... by Faith Hunter (This collection contains every Jane Yellowrock short that falls between the start and book 10 in the series. I highly recommend you read it - or at least all of the prequel and intermediate shorts - if you read the JY series.)
B = Blue Dahlia by Nora Roberts (I love Nora Roberts' writing and this book is one that I've read and am re-recommending it to myself so that I'll read it again. Love it!)
L = Lie by Moonlight by Amanda Quick (This is one of my favorite stories by one of my favorite authors, writing under the name she uses for her historicals.)
E = Enchanted, Inc. by Shanna Swendson (This series is just really fun. I want to own it for many rereadings.)
:-)
W: The Westing Game. It is my favorite book, after all :)O: On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft. Written by one of my favorite authors. There was a lot of good advice mixed in with Stephen King just being Stephen King.
B: Beloved. This book played with my emotions in ways a book hasn't done in a long time. Definitely worth a read.
B: The Bell Jar. I guess this would be considered more "popular", but it really is worth a read!
L: The Lord God Made Them All. A teacher gave me the first James Herriot book when I was in grade school and I still credit that book with turning me into a book fiend. I read all his other books in quick succession after that. I believe this is the "last" one in the original series (though you could really read them each independently) but it was just as good as the first one.
E: The Eye of the World. The first book in the Wheel of Time epic. I loved this book. This book sucked me in! I can't really speak for the end of the series as we had a falling out near the end, but the first few books were awesome! I really need to go back and finish this series.
W:Wizard's First Rule - my first fantasy read everO:Outlander - I just keep re reading the first in the series and haven't progressed further.
B:The Beekeeper's Apprentice - Sherlock Holmes with a female sidekick - loved it
B:Bone by Bone - read this years ago and the story still stays with me

L-
Let the Right One In
Cheating a little, because I haven't read this one yet, but saw the movie and now need to read it.
E-
Edgar Huntly or, Memoirs of a Sleep-Walker
I read this for school and it seems a lot of the class hated it, but I loved it. An early American psychological thriller.

O -
Opposition by Jennifer L. Armentrout
I enjoyed this whole series as well. Girl meets alien, girl hates alien, girl falls in love with alien. It's the oldest story in the book ;)
B
The Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks
I usually don't read a whole lot of romance, but this book had enough action in it to keep me interested. I had trouble putting it down.
B
Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty
The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch
This was another BOM and I just fell in love with it. The book just came alive in my head. A Robin Hood meets James Bond epic fantasy.

Marie wrote: "do they have to spell out wobble? i thought we were just recommending something we enjoyed"Yes the book titles have to spell out Wobble. Nope, not just something you enjoyed. It's a thing I started with a read-a-thon during Leprechaun. Rather than just reading, there's questions, recommendations and a task, all connected in some way.
There may be random recommendations, though I doubt it, there's a theme to 'em each day.
W The World's Strongest Librarian: A Memoir of Tourette's, Faith, Strength, and the Power of Family this book was really interesting and not just about tourettes, about spirituality and determinationO Once Upon a Timepiece really unusual story line and a good read overall - the journey of a watch
B Blackberry Wine i far prefer this to Chocolat which got all the plaudits.
B The Big Over Easy Jasper Fforde is a clever author who runs with nursery rhyme crime involving the gingerbread man and humpty dumpty - i wish i had half his brain
L The Light Between Oceans heartbreaking
E The End of Your Life Book Club a mother and son have their own book club as they wait for hospital appointments - i liked this as it put so many more books on my TBR list

Some of these letters are kind of hard.W
Chick lit but really well done chick litO
- I know this one's kind of popular but I had to add to the list as it's one of my all time favesB
- if you like twisty thrillers this ones for you. It's part of a series but works fine as a standalone and will really keep you guessingB
- lots of people tend to avoid horror but if you're looking for a creature feature this ones for you. If you live alone near woods it's maybe best you avoid it :) (I was actually going to put Before I Fall here but someone beat me to it.)L
- I'm being a bit sneaky here as this is actually a short story following on from The Nothing Girl by Jodi Taylor which is one of my favourite books and the one you really need to read. It's about someone who has an imaginary friend who's a horse (or he may be her guardian angel). Anyway it's absolutely brilliant.E
- first book in the King Arthur and her knights series by KM Shea. Yep it's about a girl Brit Arthurs who's pulled back in time to become King Arthur because the real Arthur doesn't fancy it and has run off with a shepherdess.

B
Moloka'i by Alan Brennert
B
Moon Called (Mercy Thompson, #1) by Patricia Briggs
L
Runner by Patrick Lee
E
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
Ok, so some of these might be really popular. If they are too well known and read, I have plenty of alternates that I can plug in. :)

Odd Thomas (Odd Thomas, #1) by Dean Koontz
B
Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter
B
Because of Winn-Dixie by Kate DiCamillo

Tis ok. You may have mixed it up with the Task, which I allowed for both. But I like to be specific when it comes to these. :D
W - We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson
O - Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood
B - The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly
B - Bird Box by Josh Malerman
L - Lords and Ladies by Terry Pratchett

E - Etiquette & Espionage by Gail Carriger
My recommendation for Day 1:W - Winters Heat - A hot (but not that steamy) and well writen militar-romance. It has muscles, action, brains, rescue, team work and good main and side characters.
O - Old Man's War - The author is quite popular but I don't see much talk about this particular book. A great military science fiction!
B - A batalha do Apocalipse - This one can be a bit restritive because of the language, but it is a great Brazilian fantasy! Angels and end of the world in turn-page book.
B - Blue Remembered Earth - Big, very descriptive and character building hard science fiction. It can require some focus and hard work to read some parts, but the ideas, details and grandiosite of the story makes worth it.
L - The Last Command - Book 3 of the Thrawn trilogy, and a great end to a very good story arc pos Episode VI of Star Wars
E - The End of Eternity - This one is probably my favority book of Asimov. A well done time travel story that make you think about lots of things.
I would recommend these:W:
by Melanie GideonO:
by Yael PolitisB:
by Ted DekkerB:
by Erika SwylerL:
by Rachel JoyceE:
by Will Schwalbe
Yea recs! Some non-fiction, some "literary" fiction:W - When the Emperor Was Divine by Julie Otsuka - a poetic look at Japanese internment camps during WWII.
O - Open Net by George Plimpton - the participatory sports journalist laces up his skates and tries to survive being put in goal for the Boston Bruins. A must for anyone interested in hockey.
B - Book Lust: Recommended Reading for Every Mood, Moment, and Reason by Nancy Pearl - so many good books. My TBR grew so much after reading this.
B - Blindness by José Saramago - it blew my mind. I think my review was "asjkl; just go read it" ;)
L - Lafayette in the Somewhat United States by Sarah Vowell - Best on audio book - Vowell's voice (on the page and out of her mouth) is awesome.
E - Exercises in Style by Raymond Queneau - the same one page story told 99 different ways. Never boring, often funny, always interesting.
I... think these are all okay for all ages. I know W, O, the first B, and possibly E are for sure. The other B and L is more a maturity thing. No *clears throats* special rooms or anything like other books.W.

B - Blood Rights I'm actually reading this right now and really liking it! It's a different take on a vampire story about a separate race of beings that serve and guard them, but at what price?
B - Big Trouble It's by Dave Barry, so you know you will be laughing out loud
L- The Land of Painted Caves the long-awaited book in Jean Auel's Earth's Children series and one of my favorites
E - The Expected One A different kind of religious cover up exploring the theory that Jesus was married to the Magdalene and that she was his greatest disciple. Much better than that other one...

- An Anthology of Speculative Fiction written by authors who primarily publish on the web, some very interesting stories within!B:
- Fantasy Romance by Lindsay Buroker. A lot of people know her Emperor's Edge series, but I had never heard of this one until I stumbled across it for a challenge. Very interesting magic in the series. B:
- Alternate History/Steampunk set in the Civil War era in the US. This entire series is great!L:
- Book 2 in The Elven Lords. This was my favorite of the books in this Fantasy Romance series, but I loved the whole series. I'm really bummed it got canned after 3 books. This book takes place quite a few years after the first and could definitely be read as a stand alone.E:
- Book 2 in The Arcana Chronicles. Definitely read the first book first! This is written by Kresley Cole who most people know for her Immortals After Dark Series.

Recommendations FAQ -
Through this read-a-thon, we're going to recommend books in the hopes of putting a ton more books on our TBR! With recommendations ~
╰⊰✿ Try to recommend something not extremely popular (no Harry Potter!) We want to get new books and with extremely big series/books, people already know about them. Give us something new to want!
╰⊰✿ REMEMBER: Our group is an ALL AGES group. Please no recommendations of a mature nature. Gore and violence is ok (it's in Hunger Games after all) but nothing too over the top and no erotica please.
