Hi Ter'e. Great to hear from you. So sorry to hear about your medical problems. I totally understand as I have herniated discs in my low back and neck. My neurosurgeon decided to tackle the neck, as I had constant pain and numbness all down one side of my body. Then in 2003, I had 3 discs removed and a hinge with screws (like a door hinge) put in place. This corrected a lot of the problem, but I still have the pain in the low back, that gets worse as the day goes on. I didn't have the back surgery as I was worried about the consequences. Take care and heal well. Sue XXX

I had the same issue(well I left mine in a hotel room) and was able to order another from Amazon.

Ter'e,
I can't believe it's been 3 years already since you moved. I remember how excited you were to be closer to your kids. I hope things with you and your daughters health get better soon. It's not fun healing from surgery although the final outcome is great! Take care of yourself!

Ter’e, how nice to see a post from you! Sorry about your medical problems, and how scary were those issues with your daughter! Sounds like you’re still enjoying life, though. Congrats on the new grandchild! A lot of new people in the group now. Happy reading!

Appointment with my primary physician on the 1st, then grocery shopping. Got home after 6 PM. Yesterday, was under the weather a bit and waiting for a phone call from Crown Vision so I could make the down payment on my $122.20 copay for bifocals (this is cheap for them), but they hadn't called me back as of noon, so I took off to pay my rent and run errands.
Then today, I helped do last minute preps for a Thanksgiving style meal for my church's monthly Give-a-Hand meal.

Well treated myself to a weekend of chilling out...
A special at a spa ..(Wife not interested at all) (I am)
5 Hours, swimming in the indoor pool, sauna, steam, jacuzzi, then a one hour massage, then a 1/2 foot massage, then an 1/2 hour head massage.
Then coffee and cake, then more swimming, then back home
Well chilled out, then back to the usual rush.
Also taken tomorrow off as a holiday day, and have booked
dentist check, eye test and acupuncture, and drop in new driving license forms...
Then back to work Tuesday.

Acupuncture later."
You do more in a day then I do in a week! Never tried acupuncture
I had 8-10 sessions around August/September/October.
Helped a lot, the lady Lorna ( a former dancer) now running her own business, it helped especially with tennis elbow/golf elbow both on the right elbow, left shoulder pain, and always lower back pain.
Years of sport, twelve years boxing, with training 10-12 hours a week, running, weight training. Now still playing tennis, after nearly 40 years. where a few years ago from my twenties to my fifties I was playing 4-5 times a week, now 2-3 times a week and stopped singles. My determination sometimes caused me the injuries as I will never give up and determined to win and will fight to the end (boxing days)
My work means I walk, roughly 140,000 to 180, 000 steps a week as well as some heavy work, with deliver of 40-50 boxes of photocopy paper every week.
Loads of gardening, and walking dogs for friends at weekends
That's why I want to retire so much.!!
Today I feel shattered as had over 70 needles in my back, gluts and all down my left leg, such tight muscles.
They do help a lot, maybe not for everybody but they help me.
Try to have a good sports massage every 8-10 weeks if I can afford it.
Next few weeks also have a diabetic appointment, have to get my bloods done for sugar, eye screening at the hospital (horrible) as they put stuff in your eye that stinks.
Also play padel tennis every week, and snooker.
Padel tennis is very fast(squash, racketball, badminton and tennis all at once)
My slowing down is reading , listening to music, walking, watching TV.
PS
So pleased to hear from Te're!

I do indeed, but I also have an active mind and struggle to slow down....
But do enjoy life to the fullest

Great news, especially for my wife....
She has been made redundant...
My wife has worked at her bank for 41 years, and is so happy.
Now she is looking forward to retirement.
Life will be easier for me as well, as my wife can do more at home, take me into work, so we do not have to pay parking every month, do the cleaning and much more.
The best thing, after 41 years, she gets two years pay !
And she was going to retire in two years anyway, now retiring at 58 years old.
And her full 40 years pension also comes out soon, hopefully me next !
Now getting close!!!!
Then Amber I can lean an even busy life but doing the things I want to do.

If I wasn't listening to Angela Gossow's sequence in my current video, I'd post it as a "Congratulations!" for you and your wife, but I don't think either of you would like Ms. Gossow's style. Her style is called " 'melodic' death metal." An oxymoron if ever I heard one about a subgenre of a subgenre of heavy metal. *wink*
I'll post the next video on the playlist instead
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUqpA... So it's the theme to a kid's cartoon. So sue me! *wink*
