Aliyaa Pathan Hey! I'm Aliyaa, and I've just recently become an author! I've always been a reader, particularly of scifi or fantasy. I like the mushy deep stuff too, and though I haven't written many reviews previously, I want to get to some in the future! I like the color of magic and fairy dust (use your imagination), and I like the color of stars!
I read nearly 24/7, or whenever I'm not writing or with my beloved friends. Message me if you want a review, and message me if you're interested in the book I wrote!
:))))

Jason Makansi | 3 comments Jason Makansi - I'm happy to exchange reviews with fiction or non-fiction authors even though my latest book is non-fiction, Painting By Numbers: How to Sharpen Your BS Detector and Smoke Out the Experts. I don't normally read genre but I'm always eager to blow out of my comfort envelope.

Here's the description and the Amazon link:

BETTER NUMERICAL LITERACY ISN'T JUST DESIRABLE; IT'S ESSENTIAL TO SUSTAINING A CIVIL, DEMOCRATIC, AND FREE SOCIETY In the public sphere, numbers are supposed to be more solid than words, less subjective. They are not. "The numbers don't lie," say experts. Yet they very often do. Numerical results are used to further the political, business, academic, and personal objectives of those who wield them. In PAINTING BY NUMBERS, you get wisdom, humor, and twelve commandments anyone can apply to separate numerical BS from valid results. It will raise your numerical literacy, and that of your friends, family, colleagues, and students. Even PhDs have called PAINTING BY NUMBERS a "refreshing refresher," and "something every literate person needs to understand." Given polling controversies in the recent election, vociferous debate over climate change, economic meltdowns caused by bogus and fraudulent financial models, medical and health trends driven by dubious results from trials, even sports now managed by "numbers guys," better numerical literacy isn't just desirable; it's essential to sustaining a civil, democratic, and free society.

Íeda Herman | 5 comments Hello, my name is Idea.

I started my writing career late in life, self-publishing my memoirs when I was 88. I am now 92 and have just published my 4th book, "Viking Kids Don't Cry", a YA version of my memoirs. I was born and raised in Iceland, so English is my second language and the rules of writing are difficult sometimes. I would especially like to find reviewers. Thank you for this group! I look forward to following other writers.

I'm new to Goodreads after a friend put me onto it as a good place to find people who might review my first book - an Apocalyptic Horror with a heavy focus on character and relationships. Hopefully I can get into some interesting discussions while I'm here too :)

Jamie Killen (jamiekillen) | 2 comments Hi everyone, I'm Jamie. I'm starting to get more active on Goodreads and I'm interested in reviewing. My tastes tend toward stuff that blurs the literary/fantasy/sci fi/horror lines, eg David Mitchell, Graham Joyce, Jonathan Carroll, although I'm also open to a good old fashioned space opera or horror story.

Courtney Lea | 3 comments Hello Everyone:)
I'm Courtney Lea, and consider myself an introverted-extrovert...as most authors are, right? Just joined the group and am new to the community. I'd like to be both a reviewer and get some feedback on my first novel, The Other Side of Anger, now available on Amazon.
www.amazon.com/Other-Side-Anger-IRWA-...
This is a NA Contemporary Romance set in Kentucky...rich, deep and explosive chemistry between Orion (hero) and Bryant (heroine), and it does have explicit language and sexual situations, so it ain't for the easily offended! Would anyone like me to review their work, or would like to review mine? I've dabbled in freelancing, have gone to countless workshops/retreats/academies, and have been a writing contest judge for almost ten years. My feedback is useful, I swear.

Courtney Lea | 3 comments Hi Natacha,
I was wondering if I could place my book in the queue for you to review? The Other Side of Anger is a NA Contemporary Romance, set in small-town Kentucky. Orion calls himself a monster. Bryant doesn't think she knows how to love. Together, their steamy connection forges a bridge for both of them to find out what's on...the other side of anger.
www.amazon.com/Other-Side-Anger-IRWA-...
Please let me know if you'd like me to send you the full novel:) Thanks so much!

Francis Hsu | 2 comments Hi, my name is Francis Hsu. I’m about to publish a book titled: Life Is Free Information Is Not. I am looking for people who would be interested in reviewing the book.
Here’s how it starts:
.. how is life free? 9-months after you parents got together, you got life. You didn’t ask for it, you didn’t know anything and you got life.
.. how is information not free? On average it takes 18-yrs (that’s 24 times the length you spent in your mother’s womb) to get a high school education. For college degree, 30 times; for PhD in physics, 39 times; for medical specialty, 46 times. Information, knowledge weighs nothing but it is so hard to get? Why?

If you’re interested in reviewing this book, please let me know. Thanks.

Joy | 1 comments Hi, I'm Joy and I'm a writer and reader, and let me just say that my To Read shelf on Goodreads and in on my bedside table and every flat surface in my house is covered in books I know I will get to Next Week. I read constantly, but always seem to be adding books I want to read faster than I finish books. (Anyone else suffer from this syndrome?). Here is the link to my novel that comes out in fall, and for which there is a current Giveaway of Advance Reading Copies here on Goodreads:

Nice to meet all of you!

Audrey Rich | 38 comments Hi Joy,

I'm with you! My TBR list is over ten books and counting. I'm not sure how I can write with so many books to read and review. The life of an author is filled with too many stories to write and read!

Happy reading and good luck with your book!

Susan Trombley | 2 comments Hi,
My name is Susan Trombley. I've only recently stuck my toe in the Goodreads waters, though my first book has been on here for eight years. I just recently published my sixth book, Jessabelle's Beast (Shadows in Sanctuary, #3) by Susan Trombley

I'm still trying to figure things out, so I've spent most of my time lurking in discussion groups so I don't break any rules. I haven't posted a request for reviews yet, but I'm going to be doing so soon.

I'm also an avid reader. My TBR is so large I stopped counting. I try to read a minimum of a book every couple of days, and I'm barely making a dent, probably because I keep adding books. ;)

W.H. Herman | 0 comments Hello all! My name is Bill, I have self-published a novel in the mystery/suspense/thriller genre, South of the City.
If you are into the genre and would like to review my book, please respond.
The description follows, along with the Goodreads link,of course I would provide the file to you, thanks for interest!

CRIME DOESN’T STOP AT THE CITY LIMITS…
In a small but affluent upstate New York town, Grove Park detective Pete Webster learns of two seemingly unrelated incidents… a missing-person report and an accidental death. At first, he views the new cases as a welcome distraction from his increasingly troubled personal life…and then another prominent local woman disappears seemingly without a trace, causing the entire town to take notice.
As Webster and his colleagues explore the possibility of a common thread, the investigation reveals a shocking entanglement of previously secret lives, crimes, and romances. Within days Grove Park is thrust into the national spotlight as search helicopters circle overhead and a media horde descends upon the once-tranquil village.
The ever-widening probe soon requires the support of a task force of county, state, and federal agencies, and the local interest evolves into a national media sensation, fueled by the stunning revelations that become an almost daily occurrence.
Webster’s unpredictable quest to solve the case while dealing with upheaval in his private life becomes a page-turning thriller filled with fascinating characters, set in unique locations.
A missing socialite, revenge, politics, romance, murder… welcome to Grove Park!

S.W. Wilcox (swwilcox) | 7 comments INTRO (BIO BELOW): My main interests are reviewing and writing for film. My novel, comic, and textbook library I've hardly touched in years. My fav book last year was on film writing, by the guy who created the tv series "Stitchers." I've posted 3 film reviews here and also wrote a new YA novella. The Amazon reviews are coming in nicely for that, but no Goodreads reviews yet. I'm new here and am so far an Invisible Man it seems.

I can't wait 'til the publishing world catches-up to the Kindle revolution and starts allowing full color illustrations in fantasy books for all ages, especially YA. (Right now 120 color pages printed through Createspace can't be made for less than about $20.) I'm trying to lead this, and have a YA novella up for possible free review. My Listopia list shows some of its genre influences: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...#

BIO: S.W. Wilcox, aka DJ Scott, was born and raised in California. He earned a BA in English in Pa. in 2004. An animated short version of "Bards of Fantasia" was made in 2007, for schools. As a teen, Scott also corresponded with famed fantasy pioneer Michael Moorcock. Editorial rave reviews are included at his Amazon product page from famed story analysts The Black List and Scriptapalooza.

The book begins in the year 600 ad in the kingdom of Strathclyde and ends on the bloody civil war battlefields of northern Georgia in September of 1863. Using Rutherford as a model, I follow four southern American families across centuries of time as they deal with factual historical events that, at times, causes their faith in God to bend but not break.
