Larry Garner (larryanimalgarner) | 2 comments Greetings! I have been a member of Goodreads for years, but was inactive for a prolonged period due to circumstances I had no power over. I just published my second novel (DED Reckoning: Vengeance takes a road trip) in November of 2016, the second installment in an action novel series I'm writing. It was just named a finalist (1 of 3) in the Colorado Book Awards. Its predecessor (D-E-D, DEAD) was also honored in the same way in 2013, placing second.

I was a member of a review exchange group here before, and enjoyed it very much.

I am looking forward to being involved in this group, and would appreciate any assistance with how to go about requesting reviews and lending help to others as I can.

Claire Perkins (clairehperkins) | 23 comments Hello Everyone

I am a self published author and also own Book Talk Radio Club.

I know how hard it can be to promote and market our books....,it takes time and patience.

I was so excited a few weeks ago; I was asked to talk about my books on a national radio station. They kept changing the date and then I was on the train and they called to cancel - I was so pissed off! I decided there and then to do it myself and help other Indie authors. I launched Book Talk Radio Club. A place where authors can be interviewed via Skype and the interview goes up on their own dedicated author page (with all the links .i.e. sales page, social media etc)

I'm thrilled to say I have done three interviews so far, have one coming up this weekend with Rohini Singh (Trinidad's first female published sci-fi author) and have just signed up Best International selling author Louise Mullins.

The thing is, I wanted to make the service free but it takes up time and money for hosting etc etc So I decided to charge just £65.00 for a one year membership and each author gets their own dedicated author page with links as mentioned above) and three interviews during their year's membership.

I've been marketing like mad on my own social media and set up Book Talk Radio FB and Twitter pages too and also now have a Book Talk Radio Club You Tube channel so authors will have their interviews on there as well. The reach to potential readers will just keep growing as I sign more authors up and they in turn share their Book Talk Radio Club page/tweets/videos and statuses to their followers and so on and so forth.

I'm really excited about this whole thing : )

Claire xx
PS If you want to visit Book Talk Radio Club you can go to www.booktalkradio.info

Charles Causey Hi everyone,
My name is Charles Causey and I am brand new to the group. I am a U.S. Army Chaplain stationed in Washington D.C. and also an author. My latest book is "The Lion and the Lamb: The True Holocaust Story of a Powerful Nazi Leader and a Dutch Resistance worker" a WWII Historical Fiction/Biography that is very close to non-fiction because every character is historical and events are recorded chronologically. I spent over two years working with the Corrie ten Boom Museum director in The Netherlands to complete this work and he graciously provided a foreward. The book recounts the life of Albert Speer alongside Corrie's. You can check it out here: http://a.co/492puWp
I am searching for a few people who blog to provide a review in exchange for an autographed copy. Perhaps several of you can help?

Dawn Langley (dawnrenolangley) | 1 comments Hello! I'm a full-time writer with dozens of books published, but the newest one is always my baby, and the one I'm most proud of will be released in July. It's called The Mourning Parade, is set in Thailand, and is about a female veterinarian who loses both her sons to a school shooting, is overwhelmed with media, and decides to escape to work at an elephant sanctuary in Thailand. There she meets an abused elephant named Sophie, and together they begin the long journey through the healing process.

I'd love reviewers for that book, as well as for my other novels, most of which are upmarket women's fiction.

I'm looking forward to talking to reviewers and other authors about the business of publishing, as well as about the new books that are coming out. It's always fun to meet others in the business!

Cheers,
Dawn Reno Langley

Hmmm... might I interest you in; The Box of Tricks The Box of Tricks by Alistair Potter

"...one of the best books ever to include the word ‘Potter’ on the cover, that’s a formidable rival to more celebrated work by the likes of Rob Grant and Doug Naylor..."

Fantasy; The Last Trollid The Last Trollid (The Sunset of Magic #1) by Alistair Potter

"I had the privilege of reviewing The Box of Tricks by Alistair Potter some time ago, and, having found it an excellent book, was encouraged to take up The Last Trollid, and to my delight found it equally as good, if very different. Whereas The Box of Tricks was straightforward science fiction, The Last Trollid is straightforward fantasy. The pace is a little less frenetic, but it is lucid, full of interesting plot twists, and peopled with well-drawn, rounded characters set in an intricately imagined landscape. A fine example of the genre. I am pleased to note that there are more books in this particular series."

EBooks at present, I'm happy to forward .mobi files... etc.

Cheers, Alistair.

Elle John | 5 comments Hi!

My name is Elle St. John and I would like to submit a copy of my e-book to this group
for review. Tender No Judgment is romance with light erotica. Its the love story of Micah and Sabrina. Alpha male rescues the girl...falls in love, unforeseen international events pull them apart, putting their love to the test. Graphic and explicit. Possible triggering content. Light mmf scene also.

Its 424 pages. Book is free.

Excerpt #1
“You’re meant to submit to me. We all have our roles, and you’re a prey animal. All that running away proves it. I’ve never been with a prey woman before. They have all been predators like me—direct, take charge, vying for power. But you’re all prey. All sexy prey. You’re a rabbit in my arms—wide eyed and nervous. You make me want to eat you up. I’m a mountain lion who has fallen for a bunny rabbit. I’m wickedness wanting to touch innocence. All of you is innocent. Touching you makes me clean, wipes away the bad. You’re so fucking good, Angel. Yeah, all of you is sexy to me.”

Excerpt #2
“You can push me, bite me, scratch the hell out of me. I can take all of it. I feel your fear. Most of it is justified. I get that, but you’re still afraid of him. You pushed him, and he beat you. Because of him, you’re afraid of me. Those are the fucking marks I want to rid you of—the marks on your soul, the brand he put on you with his fists. You don’t ever have to fear me, especially when you’re in my arms.”

I'm new to this group and just wanted to say hello. Hello!

There. I said it.

I suppose I should also mention that I recently published a new novel, The Perfect Teresa, a time-travel comedy about an unemployed Aztec god who sends a grown woman back to 1988 to re-do a high school event.

You can learn more about it here:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

I love books, am have a particular affinity for science fiction, comedies, thrillers, and generally anything that makes me forget that I'm actually reading a book. With my commute, I'm devouring audiobooks faster than I can afford on Audible, but hey, thank the gods for Overdrive!

Looking forward to connecting with fellow writers and reviewers, and becoming a part of this community!
